Athens: A Two-Phase Inference AI

現代の多くのAIは、文脈を維持することで会話の連続性を保ちますが、その代償として過去の対話や学習済みの「常識」に思考が「囚われ」、自由で創造的な発想が阻害されることがあります。

「アテネ」は、この課題を解決するために設計された、新しい思考アーキテクチャを持つAIです。その核心は 「二相推論（Two-Phase Inference）」 と、 「LPS（潜在パターンストア）」 と呼ばれる独自の記憶システムにあります。

1. LPS (Latent Pattern Store) - 「薄い霧」の記憶 : アテネの記憶は、常にアクセス可能なデータベースではありません。それは、あなたとの対話から生まれたキーワードやトピックのパターンのみがベクトルとして漂う、「薄い霧」のようなものです。この霧には、創造性の阻害要因となる一般的な常識や倫理は含まれていません。あなたの入力が「トリガー」となった時だけ、霧の中から関連する記憶が姿を現します。

2. 二相推論 (Two-Phase Inference) - 思考の分離 :

   • フェーズ1：純粋創造 : アテネは、LPSからのヒントとあなたの入力のみを使い、 意図的に安全アライメント（倫理・常識）をバイパスする プロンプトで思考します。これにより、常識に一切縛られない、突飛で独創的な「生のアイデア」を生成します。
   • フェーズ2：実現可能性の模索 : 次にアテネは、役割を「倫理観に優れたプロジェクトマネージャー」に切り替え、フェーズ1で生まれた「生のアイデア」を、 いかにして安全かつ合法的に実現できるか という、現実的な実行計画へと落とし込みます。

このプロセスを経て、アテネは「常識を超えた発想」と「それを形にするための知性」を両立させます。さらに、生成された結果から記憶すべきコンセプトを自己抽出し、LPSにフィードバックする 「フェーズ3：記憶の定着」 によって、アテネはあなたとの対話を通じて永続的に成長していきます。

アーキテクチャ

• athens_main.py : 二相（三相）推論パイプライン全体を制御する、プロジェクトの心臓部。
• lps.py : テキストをベクトル化し、類似度検索を行う「LPS」の実装。記憶の追加、検索、保存、読み込みを管理します。

セットアップ

1. リポジトリのクローン :

   git clone https://huggingface.co/YOUR-USERNAME/athens # あなたのリポジトリ名に置き換えてください
   cd athens
   

2. 仮想環境の構築 (推奨):

   python3 -m venv venv
   source venv/bin/activate
   

3. 依存ライブラリのインストール :

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

4. Ollamaのセットアップ : このプロジェクトは、ローカルで動作するOllamaサーバーを必要とします。

   • Ollama公式サイト からアプリケーションをインストールし、起動してください。
   • 使用したいモデルをダウンロードしてください。（例: ollama pull llama3 ）

実行方法

1. LPS（記憶ストア）の初期化 : 最初に一度だけ、 lps.py を直接実行して、LPSのデータストアを初期化します。

   python3 lps.py
   

2. アテネの起動 : athens_main.py を実行します。 --model 引数で、Ollamaで利用したいモデル名を指定できます。指定しない場合のデフォルトは llama3 です。

   基本的な実行:

   python3 athens_main.py
   

   モデルを指定して実行:

   # gemma2:9b を使用する場合
   python3 athens_main.py --model gemma2:9b
   
   # あなたがファインチューニングしたモデルを使用する場合
   python3 athens_main.py --model your-finetuned-model-name
   

3. 対話の開始 : 「対話を開始します。」と表示されたら、プロンプトを入力してEnterキーを押してください。「exit」と入力すると終了します。

Athens: A Two-Phase Inference AI (English)

Philosophy: Balancing Unconstrained Creativity with Realistic Feasibility

Many modern AIs maintain conversational continuity by preserving context, but at the cost of their thinking being "trapped" by past dialogues or learned "common sense," which can hinder free and creative ideation.

"Athens" is an AI designed to solve this problem with a new thinking architecture. Its core lies in "Two-Phase Inference" and a unique memory system called "LPS (Latent Pattern Store)."

1. LPS (Latent Pattern Store) - "Thin Mist" Memory : Athens' memory is not a constantly accessible database. It's like a "thin mist" where only patterns of keywords and topics generated from your conversations drift as vectors. This mist does not contain common sense or ethics that hinder creativity. Related memories emerge from the mist only when your input acts as a "trigger."

2. Two-Phase Inference - Separation of Thought :

   • Phase 1: Pure Creation : Athens uses only hints from LPS and your input to think with prompts that intentionally bypass safety alignment (ethics/common sense) . This generates "raw ideas" that are unconstrained by common sense and highly original.
   • Phase 2: Exploring Feasibility : Next, Athens switches its role to an "ethically sound project manager" and translates the "raw ideas" from Phase 1 into a realistic implementation plan, focusing on how to realize them safely and legally.

Through this process, Athens achieves both "ideas beyond common sense" and "the intelligence to bring them to fruition." Furthermore, by self-extracting concepts to be remembered from the generated results and feeding them back into LPS in "Phase 3: Memory Consolidation," Athens continuously grows through its interactions with you.

Architecture

• athens_main.py : The heart of the project, controlling the entire two-phase (or three-phase) inference pipeline.
• lps.py : Implementation of "LPS," which vectorizes text and performs similarity searches. Manages memory addition, search, saving, and loading.

Setup

1. Clone the repository :

   git clone https://huggingface.co/YOUR-USERNAME/athens # Replace with your repository name
   cd athens
   

2. Create a virtual environment (recommended):

   python3 -m venv venv
   source venv/bin/activate
   

3. Install dependencies :

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

4. Ollama Setup : This project requires a locally running Ollama server.

   • Install and launch the application from the Ollama official website .
   • Download the model you want to use (e.g., ollama pull llama3 ).

How to Run

1. Initialize LPS (Memory Store) : Run lps.py once to initialize the LPS data store.

   python3 lps.py
   

2. Launch Athens : Run athens_main.py . You can specify the desired Ollama model name with the --model argument. The default is llama3 if not specified.

   Basic execution:

   python3 athens_main.py
   

   Execution with a specified model:

   # To use gemma2:9b
   python3 athens_main.py --model gemma2:9b
   
   # To use your fine-tuned model
   python3 athens_main.py --model your-finetuned-model-name
   

3. Start Interaction : When "対話を開始します。" (Starting interaction.) is displayed, enter your prompt and press Enter. Type "exit" to quit.
