Overview

Generating dynamic, high-quality product videos for social media promotion is time-consuming. This specialized n8n workflow solves this by fully automating the creation pipeline. It starts with a simple web form to accept product and background images. It leverages sophisticated AI models (like Gemini 2.5 Flash for image editing and FAL WAN for image-to-video) to generate a realistic product placement video. By utilizing this robust n8n node structure, you eliminate manual design steps and achieve immediate, multi-platform publishing. This specific n8n workflow is a prime example of leveraging external APIs within a centralized automation platform.

How it Works

This powerful n8n workflow begins with an explicit start mechanism.

  1. Initiation (n8n trigger): The process is started by the Photo Upload Form n8n trigger, which receives two images (product and background) and a description from the user.

  2. Configuration: API keys and crucial generation instructions (prompts for image editing and video motion) are defined in the Set Prompts and Set APIs Vars n8n node steps.

  3. Image Preparation: The two source images are uploaded to the imgbb service to create accessible URLs, a necessary prerequisite for the AI APIs.

  4. AI Image Composition: The Gemini 2.5 Flash - Generate Image n8n node calls the fal.ai service, using the configured prompt to intelligently place the product image into the background room image, creating a single, composited visual.

  5. Data Handling: The composite image is downloaded, renamed, and immediately uploaded back to imgbb to prepare its URL for the next AI step.

  6. AI Video Generation: The FAL WAN i2v (Queue) n8n node submits the composite image and the specified motion prompt (e.g., 'Camera pan right') to start the image-to-video generation job.

  7. Status Polling Loop: The n8n workflow then enters a critical polling sequence using the Wait i2v n8n node, which waits 30 seconds before the FAL WAN i2v (status) node checks the job completion. The Animation Completed? If n8n node checks if the job status is 'COMPLETED'. If not, it loops back to the Wait node.

  8. Video Retrieval: Once completed, the FAL WAN i2v (Result) n8n node retrieves the video URL, and the Download Final Video n8n node converts this URL into a binary file within the n8n execution context.

  9. Social Media Publishing: Finally, the Upload Post n8n node takes the video binary data and publishes it instantly across selected platforms, including TikTok, Instagram (as Reels), and YouTube. This powerful n8n workflow completes the end-to-end automation.

Installation Guide

To deploy this comprehensive n8n workflow, follow these steps:

  1. Import Workflow: Copy the provided n8n workflow JSON and paste it into your n8n instance using the 'New' -> 'Import from JSON' function.

  2. Credentials Setup: You must configure two primary types of credentials:

fal.ai Credentials: Update the HTTP Header Auth credentials used in the Gemini and FAL WAN nodes. This typically involves setting up an API key/token provided by fal.ai.
Upload Post Credentials: Configure the credentials for the Upload Post n8n node, allowing n8n to connect to your social media accounts (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).

  1. API Key Configuration: In the Set APIs Vars n8n node, manually replace addimgbbapi_key with your actual imgbb API key.

  2. Trigger Activation: Navigate to the Photo Upload Form n8n trigger node and copy the webhook URL. Activate the n8n workflow by setting it to 'Active'.

  3. Testing: Access the webhook URL in your browser to interact with the generated form and test the full automation pipeline. This advanced n8n workflow is now ready for production use.

Node Details

Photo Upload Form (n8n trigger): This is the entry point, serving as a public-facing web form to collect necessary inputs: two photo files (photo1, photo2) and a product description.
Set APIs Vars / Set Prompts (n8n node): Essential configuration nodes. They hold API keys (like imgbbapikey) and the specific, complex textual prompts required for the AI models (e.g., prompt-image-edit and prompt-image-to-video).
Upload Original Image to imgbb (HTTP Request n8n node): Responsible for taking the binary files from the trigger and uploading them to imgbb, ensuring the images are available via URLs for the AI services.
Gemini 2.5 Flash - Generate Image (HTTP Request n8n node): The core AI image editing step. It uses fal.ai to perform complex image manipulation based on the prompt, merging the product into the background scene.
FAL WAN i2v (Queue) (HTTP Request n8n node): Initiates the resource-intensive image-to-video generation process. It sends the composite image URL and the animation prompt, receiving a request_id for tracking.
Wait i2v (Wait n8n node): Crucial for handling async processes. This n8n node pauses the execution for 30 seconds before proceeding to check the job status.
Animation Completed? (If n8n node): This flow control node determines if the video generation is complete (status == COMPLETED). If not, the flow loops back to the Wait n8n node to re-poll the status.
Download Final Video (HTTP Request n8n node): Downloads the final, generated video file binary from the FAL result URL.

  • Upload Post (Upload Post n8n node): The final action. This specialized social media n8n node publishes the video across TikTok, Instagram (Reels), and YouTube simultaneously, completing the automated content delivery cycle.
