Who is this best for?

  • Content creators needing automated video generation for short-form platforms (e.g., Reels, TikTok).

  • Users looking for advanced examples of integrating LangChain AI agents and tools within an n8n workflow.

  • Developers seeking robust n8n templates for generative AI APIs like Seedance or Wavespeed.

  • Businesses automating content repurposing workflows that rely on Telegram input.

Overview

The core problem solved by this complex n8n workflow is the manual, multi-step process of converting a static image idea submitted through a messaging platform into a dynamic video reel. By combining the accessibility of a Telegram bot with the advanced prompting capabilities of an n8n node utilizing GPT-4.1-mini and the specialized image-to-video services of Seedance/Veo3 (accessed via Wavespeed), this automation creates a seamless content pipeline.

This robust n8n template automatically captures an image, logs its accessible URL to Google Sheets, employs the AI Agent to generate an optimized video prompt, triggers the video creation via a credentialed HTTP Request n8n node, and manages the asynchronous API polling cycle. The final video is delivered efficiently back to the user on Telegram, showcasing a highly effective implementation of a complex, content-generating n8n workflow.

How it Works

This powerful automation flow starts with a user interaction and proceeds through intelligent processing and external API calls:

  1. Trigger Event: The process begins with the Telegram Trigger n8n trigger, listening for incoming messages that contain a photo and a caption from a user.

  2. Image Upload & Logging: If an image is detected by the If n8n node, the original Telegram file is downloaded and uploaded to Google Drive using the Google Drive n8n node. Crucially, the public URL of the uploaded image is then logged into a Google Sheet using the Google Sheets n8n node, making the URL available for the AI agent.

  3. Intelligent Prompt Generation: The AI Agent n8n node takes the user's caption as input. This agent uses the OpenAI Chat Model and specialized tools, including a Google Sheets1 tool, to retrieve the just-logged image URL. The agent's purpose is to synthesize the user's caption and the image URL into a high-quality video prompt formatted as a JSON object, ready for the video generation API. This demonstrates sophisticated data handling within an n8n workflow.

  4. Video Generation Request: The resulting JSON output is passed to the Wavespeed Post HTTP Request n8n node. This n8n node uses the generated prompt and the image URL to initiate the image-to-video process with the Seedance/Veo3 model via the Wavespeed API.

  5. Asynchronous Polling: Since video generation is time-consuming, the n8n workflow employs an asynchronous polling mechanism. After an initial Wait 15 n8n node, the Wavespeed Get n8n node repeatedly polls the API status.

  6. Delivery Check: An If1 n8n node checks if the video status is 'completed'. If it is not, the flow loops back via the Wait another 15 Seconds n8n node. Once complete, the video file URL is extracted and sent directly back to the user through the Telegram2 n8n node, completing the full n8n workflow cycle.

Installation Guide

To deploy this expert n8n workflow, follow these steps:

  1. Import: Copy the provided JSON and import it into your n8n instance as a new n8n workflow.

  2. Telegram Setup: Configure the Telegram Trigger and the final Telegram2 n8n node with your Telegram Bot credentials and chat IDs.

  3. Google Credentials: Set up credentials for Google Drive and Google Sheets. Ensure you update the folder ID in the Google Drive n8n node and the document ID in the Google Sheets n8n node and the Google Sheets1 tool node.

  4. Wavespeed/Seedance API: Obtain an API key from Wavespeed/Seedance. Configure the required HTTP Header Authentication credentials for both the Wavespeed Post and Wavespeed Get n8n node components. Replace any placeholder URLs or IDs.

  5. Activation: Once all credentials and configurations are set, activate the n8n workflow. Test by sending an image and a caption to your Telegram bot.

Node Details

Telegram Trigger (n8n trigger): Initiates the n8n workflow upon receiving a message update, specifically checking for attached photos.
If (n8n node): Acts as the flow controller, ensuring the process only continues if a photo object is present in the Telegram message payload.
Telegram (n8n node): Used to fetch the actual image file content using the file ID provided by the n8n trigger output, preparing it for Google Drive upload.
Google Drive (n8n node): Handles the secure storage of the input image, uploading it and generating a sharable URL necessary for the subsequent video generation steps in this n8n workflow.
Google Sheets (n8n node): Appends the timestamp and the Google Drive URL to a log sheet. This ensures the necessary image_url is accessible via the LangChain tool.
AI Agent (n8n node): This advanced LangChain n8n node orchestrates the prompt generation. It uses the OpenAI Chat Model (GPT-4.1-mini) and specialized tool access (to Google Sheets) to construct the JSON output containing the optimized prompt and the image url.
Wavespeed Post (n8n node - HTTP Request): This critical n8n node sends the initial request to the Seedance/Veo3 image-to-video API endpoint, utilizing the prompt and URL generated by the AI Agent.
Wait 15 / Wait another 15 Seconds (n8n node): These nodes manage the asynchronous nature of the API, introducing delays essential for effective polling.
Wavespeed Get (n8n node - HTTP Request): Polls the Wavespeed API using the prediction ID to check if the video generation status is 'completed'.
If1 (n8n node): Determines if the video is ready based on the 'completed' status, directing the flow either to the polling loop or the final delivery.

  • Telegram2 (n8n node): The final action n8n node, responsible for sending the generated video file back to the original user's chat ID.
