This comprehensive n8n workflow offers an end-to-end solution for automated social listening on Reddit. Manual sentiment analysis is tedious and non-scalable, but this automation eliminates that problem entirely.
The system utilizes the Bright Data n8n node to reliably extract structured comment data from any target Reddit post URL. After the data is acquired, the workflow processes each comment using Google's powerful Gemini AI, configured via advanced Langchain n8n nodes. The AI determines if the sentiment is positive, negative, or neutral and provides a reasoning contextually. This ensures high-quality, actionable results.
Finally, the cleaned data is automatically saved to Google Sheets, making it one of the most valuable n8n templates for generating real-time sentiment reports without writing any code. Every step, from the initial n8n trigger to the final data storage, is designed for reliability and ease of use.
The entire process is initiated by the Manual Start n8n trigger, where the user defines the target Reddit URL using the Set n8n node. This URL is passed to the Bright Data n8n node, which starts a web scraping job and returns a snapshot ID.
Crucially, the n8n workflow includes a Wait node to pause processing for 5 minutes, ensuring the Bright Data scraping job is complete before proceeding. The Bright Data n8n node then downloads the resultant comment snapshot.
To manage processing costs and time, the n8n workflow uses a Limit n8n node to restrict the analysis to the first five comments. Each comment then enters the AI analysis chain: the AI Sentiment Classifier n8n node uses the Google Gemini Chat Model to assess sentiment. Advanced parsing nodes, including the Auto-fixing Output Parser and Structured Output Parser, guarantee the AI output adheres to a specific JSON structure (including the comment, sentiment, and reason).
Finally, the Google Sheets n8n node appends this structured, AI-analyzed data to the target spreadsheet, completing this powerful n8n automation.
