How API Gateway Works
- The user authenticates with Maton.ai and obtains a MATON_API_KEY.
- A connection is established to a specific app (e.g., Slack) via the control plane to trigger the OAuth flow.
- The agent sends a request to the gateway using the format
[https://gateway.maton.ai/](https://gateway.maton.ai/){app}/{native-api-path}. - The API Gateway identifies the required app and retrieves the active OAuth token for that user.
- The gateway forwards the request to the target service's native API with the correct headers and parameters.
- The response from the target API is passed back directly to the agent.
