What is Bankr?

Bankr enables seamless interaction with blockchain networks through natural language prompts. It functions as both a sophisticated crypto trading assistant and a unified LLM gateway, supporting major chains like Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Unichain. By integrating this skill into your workflow, you can execute complex DeFi operations without manual contract interaction.

This integration for Openclaw Skills bridges the gap between conversational AI and decentralized finance, providing a robust interface for asset management, market research, and multi-model AI access. Whether you are a developer building autonomous agents or a trader looking for a terminal-based experience, Bankr provides the tools to automate and scale your crypto operations safely.

Bankr Use Cases

  • Executing token swaps and cross-chain bridges using natural language commands.
  • Monitoring real-time portfolio balances and USD valuations across multiple chains.
  • Setting up automated trading strategies like DCA, limit orders, and stop losses.
  • Performing technical analysis and market research on specific tokens.
  • Accessing a unified API for various LLMs through the Bankr LLM gateway.
  • Deploying new tokens on EVM or Solana with customizable metadata.
  • Placing bets on prediction markets like Polymarket via AI prompts.

How Bankr Works

  1. The user provides a natural language prompt via the Bankr CLI or the REST API.
  2. Bankr submits the request as an asynchronous job and returns a unique job ID and thread ID.
  3. The system polls the job status in the background until it reaches a terminal state such as completed or failed.
  4. For trading operations, the AI agent interprets the intent, signs, and submits transactions to the relevant blockchain.
  5. The final response, including transaction hashes or data summaries, is returned to the user, with context preserved for follow-up prompts.

Bankr Setup

Install the Bankr CLI globally using npm or bun:

npm install -g @bankr/cli

Authenticate by requesting a one-time passcode (OTP) via email:

bankr login email <user-email>

Complete the setup by verifying the code and configuring permissions:

bankr login email <user-email> --code <otp> --accept-terms --read-write

Environment variables can also be used to configure Openclaw Skills by setting BANKR_API_KEY.

Bankr Data Schema & Taxonomy

Bankr organizes data through an asynchronous job system and multi-chain wallet architecture. The following table outlines the primary data components:

Component Type Description
jobId String Unique identifier for tracking asynchronous AI tasks
threadId String Identifier for maintaining conversation history and context
balances Object Multi-chain token holdings with USD valuations and chain metadata
jobStatus Enum Status states: pending, processing, completed, failed, or cancelled
modelId String Identifier for LLM models used via the gateway (e.g., bankr/claude-sonnet-3.5)

Bankr Advanced Features

  • Read-only API keys for secure market research and monitoring bots without transaction capabilities.
  • Synchronous endpoints for direct message signing and raw transaction submission without AI processing.
  • IP whitelisting to restrict API key usage to specific server environments.
  • Automated strategy support for Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP) and Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA).
  • Native integration with the Bankr LLM Gateway for cost-tracked, multi-provider AI model access.
