What is BookMorph Magic?

BookMorph Magic serves as a publishable template skill for developers and creators looking to automate the transition from a single literary source to a full suite of digital assets. Rather than a rigid, fixed workflow, this skill defines clear adapter contracts, allowing you to plug in your own book selection and media generation logic while maintaining a consistent output structure.

By leveraging the Openclaw Skills framework, it handles the complex task of coordinating different generative processes—from longform video production to generating cover art in multiple aspect ratios. It ensures that every piece of content created follows a strict manifest-driven organization, making it ideal for high-volume content production and automated episode packaging.

BookMorph Magic Use Cases

  • Automating the creation of episode packages for book-based podcasts or video series.
  • Generating multi-format social media assets including video and audio from book manuscripts.
  • Streamlining the production of marketing collateral for authors and publishers.
  • Scaling digital content workflows by integrating custom AI adapters into a unified orchestration layer.

How BookMorph Magic Works

  1. The skill parses a specific episode identifier from user requests, such as ep38 or episode 38, to establish the workflow context.
  2. It initializes or resets a dedicated episode directory to ensure a clean workspace for all generated assets.
  3. A book selector adapter is triggered to identify and verify the correct source manuscript or file path.
  4. The longform content generator adapter produces the primary media assets, typically a video file and its corresponding audio track.
  5. The cover generator adapter creates visual assets in three required aspect ratios: 3:4, 4:3, and 1:1.
  6. Finally, the bundle command aggregates all artifacts into the episode directory and generates a manifest.json file for tracking and distribution.

BookMorph Magic Setup

To begin using this template within Openclaw Skills, you must implement the three required adapters: book selector, longform generator, and cover generator. Use the following commands to interact with the bundling script:

# Parse an episode request from text
python3 scripts/episode_bundle.py parse-episode --text "create content for ep38" --output-root "/path/to/output"

# Prepare the destination directory for the episode
python3 scripts/episode_bundle.py prepare-dest --episode 38 --clear-existing --output-root "/path/to/output"

# Finalize the bundle after asset generation
python3 scripts/episode_bundle.py bundle --episode 38 --video "/path/to/video.mp4" --audio "/path/to/audio.m4a" --image-3x4 "/path/to/3x4.png" --image-4x3 "/path/to/4x3.png" --image-1x1 "/path/to/1x1.png" --book-title "Your Title" --author "Author Name" --book-path "/path/to/book.epub" --output-root "/path/to/output"

BookMorph Magic Data Schema & Taxonomy

BookMorph Magic enforces a structured output schema to ensure compatibility with downstream systems. The following table describes the standard assets managed by this Openclaw Skills template:

File Name Description
epNN-video.<ext> The primary longform video asset.
epNN-audio.<ext> The standalone audio file extracted or generated from the book.
epNN-cover-3x4.<ext> Portrait aspect ratio cover image.
epNN-cover-4x3.<ext> Landscape aspect ratio cover image.
epNN-cover-1x1.<ext> Square aspect ratio cover image.
manifest.json A detailed metadata file containing source info, generation attempts, and workflow status.

BookMorph Magic Advanced Features

  • Adapter Contract Flexibility: Seamlessly swap out book selection or generation engines while keeping the core orchestration logic intact.
  • Multi-Aspect Ratio Support: Automatically coordinates the production of three distinct image formats to support various social media platforms simultaneously.
  • Robust Error Handling: The system immediately fails and generates a partial manifest if critical steps like episode parsing or book selection are unsuccessful.
  • Checkpoint Integration: Supports passing and archiving checkpoint paths through adapters to enable resumable workflows within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem.
