What is BulkPublish Analytics?

BulkPublish Analytics is an Openclaw Skills reference for retrieving social publishing performance from BulkPublish. It guides an agent in choosing the right tool for date-range summaries, individual post metrics, post discovery, and plan usage.

Its key value is more trustworthy reporting: platform metrics are not universally available, and stored zeros can mean unsupported, unsynced, or disabled data rather than no engagement. The skill explains how to check metric support, interpret tracked link clicks, and distinguish post status from approval status.

BulkPublish Analytics Use Cases

  • Summarize publishing activity across a date range, such as posts published this week.
  • Find published posts and compare their per-platform engagement to identify top performers.
  • Review likes, comments, impressions, reach, clicks, saves, video views, and engagement rates without treating unsupported metrics as zero.
  • Investigate BulkPublish short-link clicks while keeping them separate from platform-reported clicks.
  • Check current plan limits, usage, and subscription status.
  • Inspect pending or rejected posts in the team approval queue.
  • Explain why recently published posts or posts on channels with disabled metric syncing may still show zero values.

How BulkPublish Analytics Works

  1. Identify the user's question and select the relevant tool: get_analytics for a date-range overview, list_posts to find posts, get_post_metrics for a specific post, or get_quota_usage for plan limits.
  2. For an overview, provide ISO date strings in from and to; optionally narrow results with channel, platform, label, format, or media filters, or request a comparison.
  3. For individual performance, find relevant posts with list_posts, then request metrics using each post's postId.
  4. Before reporting any platform metric, check metricsSupported and supportedMetrics. Treat absent metrics as not reported, not as zero. For Facebook Insights figures, account for the read_insights permission requirement.
  5. Interpret zeros in context: data may not have synced yet, X metrics may be disabled for the channel, or link tracking may be unavailable or inapplicable.
  6. Present platform-reported clicks separately from BulkPublish linkClicks; describe zero link clicks as no tracked link clicks rather than proof that nobody clicked.

BulkPublish Analytics Setup

The supplied skill reference documents BulkPublish tools and their parameters, but does not specify a package installation command, CLI setup, credentials, or configuration procedure. Use it in an agent environment where the BulkPublish tools are already available.

  1. Choose the tool that matches the request: get_analytics, get_post_metrics, get_quota_usage, or list_posts.
  2. For date-based queries, send from and to as ISO dates, for example 2026-04-01 (not a datetime).
  3. Apply optional filters only when relevant. To inspect the approval queue, use list_posts with approvalStatus: "pending".
  4. Check metric support and sync caveats before presenting performance figures.

No shell commands are required or provided by this skill.

BulkPublish Analytics Data Schema & Taxonomy

Tool responses and fields

Tool Input Returned data
get_analytics Required from, to; optional channelIds, platforms, labelIds, postFormat, mediaType, compare Total posts, counts by post status, per-platform counts, and daily post counts for the range
list_posts Optional status, approvalStatus, from, to, channelId, search Posts matching the supplied filters
get_post_metrics postId Per-platform engagement metrics, support metadata, and tracked link-click totals
get_quota_usage None Plan name, limits, current usage, and subscription status

Post and approval metadata

  • Post status can be draft, scheduled, publishing, published, processing, failed, or partial.
  • approvalStatus is separate from status: none (default), pending, approved, or rejected. Pending and rejected posts do not publish on their own.

Metrics interpretation

Per-platform metrics can include likes, comments, shares, impressions, reach, clicks, saves, videoViews, and engagementRate. Each platform entry also includes metricsSupported and supportedMetrics; use these fields to determine whether a metric is available. Unsupported metric columns may still contain a stored zero, which is not a measured zero. engagementRate is derived from impressions and is always zero for Bluesky and Mastodon, which do not report impressions.

linkClicks and its total variants measure BulkPublish short-link activity, not platform clicks. Keep these separate from clicks and totalClicks to avoid double-counting. A zero may reflect disabled tracking, a Free plan, no link in the post, or shortening skipped because of a channel character limit; bot and link-preview traffic is excluded.

Metric snapshots refresh every six hours. X per-post metric syncing is opt-in per channel, runs at most weekly, and affected channels are identified in metricsDisabledChannels. Facebook impressions, reach, and clicks depend on Page Insights and the read_insights permission.

BulkPublish Analytics Advanced Features

  • Filter analytics by channels, platforms, labels, post format, and media type; request comparisons where supported.
  • Separate workflow state from team approval state when reviewing posts, including the pending approval queue.
  • Validate every per-platform metric against supportedMetrics and account for channels with metricsSupported: false.
  • Report BulkPublish-measured short-link clicks independently from platform-reported click counts.
  • Diagnose zeros using snapshot timing, metricsDisabledChannels, link-tracking conditions, and Facebook Insights permissions.
  • Use get_quota_usage to compare current channel, daily post, storage, and API-call usage against plan limits.
