What is ClawFlow?

ClawFlow is a manual productivity assistant designed for Openclaw Skills that transforms your AI agent into a personal executive assistant. It streamlines the start and end of your workday by synthesizing information from your local workspace, calendar, and task managers into actionable insights.

By leveraging localized configuration files and third-party integrations, the skill ensures that your daily intentions, focus areas, and scheduled commitments are always front and center. Whether you are using it for a quick morning check-in or a deep-dive end-of-day summary, ClawFlow provides a structured approach to memory and task management within the Openclaw ecosystem.

ClawFlow Use Cases

  • Requesting a morning brief to see your agenda, tasks, and daily intentions.
  • Generating a daily summary to reflect on accomplishments and key decisions.
  • Automating the transition of open items from yesterday into today's workflow.
  • Performing an interactive end-of-day check-in to capture manual notes before logging daily progress.

How ClawFlow Works

  1. The skill identifies triggers such as morning brief or daily summary from user input.
  2. It retrieves user preferences, agent identity, and daily intentions from USER.md, IDENTITY.md, and HEARTBEAT.md.
  3. The agent optionally polls external APIs via CLI tools like gog for calendar events and todoist for task management.
  4. For summaries, it analyzes chat history and file modifications to determine completed work.
  5. Information is formatted into a localized report and saved as a persistent memory file in the workspace directory.
  6. A concise version of the report is presented in the chat for immediate review.

ClawFlow Setup

To get started with this member of the Openclaw Skills family, ensure your local workspace is configured:

  1. Create the required configuration files in ~/.openclaw/workspace/:
touch USER.md IDENTITY.md HEARTBEAT.md
  1. (Optional) For full functionality, install and authenticate the supported CLI tools:
# For Calendar
brew install gog-cli
# For Tasks
brew install todoist-cli
  1. Configure your language and agent emoji in the respective markdown files to personalize the output.

ClawFlow Data Schema & Taxonomy

ClawFlow organizes data using a structured filesystem within the Openclaw workspace to ensure compatibility and persistence.

File / Directory Purpose Key Metadata
USER.md User Profile Name, Language, Timezone
IDENTITY.md Agent Identity Agent Name, Creature (Emoji)
HEARTBEAT.md Daily Goals Daily Intention, Focus
/memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md Daily Logs Accomplished, Decisions, Open Items, For Tomorrow

All summaries use standardized English headers (e.g., ## Open Items) to maintain cross-skill compatibility while allowing bulleted content in the user's preferred language.

ClawFlow Advanced Features

  • Multi-language support with native Dutch and English optimization and best-effort translation for other locales.
  • Inter-day memory persistence that automatically carries over open items from previous days.
  • Seamless upgrade path to ClawFlow Complete using standardized markdown headers.
  • Interactive check-in mode that allows users to override or augment automated summaries before they are finalized.
