What is Cloudcraft?

Cloudcraft provides a powerful platform for cloud architects and DevOps engineers to visually plan and design their cloud infrastructure. By integrating this tool with Openclaw Skills through the Membrane framework, users can automate the creation, management, and documentation of complex cloud diagrams. This skill abstracts the complexity of API authentication and credential management, allowing AI agents to interact directly with infrastructure data.

Using this integration, teams can bridge the gap between high-level architectural planning and technical implementation. The Openclaw Skills ecosystem ensures that every interaction with the Cloudcraft API is secure, persistent, and optimized for developer productivity, enabling seamless workflows for multi-cloud environment management.

Cloudcraft Use Cases

  • Automating the creation of visual infrastructure diagrams for AWS or Azure during the discovery phase.
  • Programmatically retrieving billing data and plan settings to optimize cloud expenditure.
  • Updating resource groups and environment settings across multiple team accounts using Openclaw Skills.
  • Integrating cloud architecture documentation into automated developer workflows.

How Cloudcraft Works

  1. The user installs the Membrane CLI to provide the runtime environment for Openclaw Skills.
  2. Authentication is handled via a secure login process that links the AI agent to a Membrane tenant.
  3. A connection is established to the Cloudcraft domain, triggering an OAuth flow if necessary.
  4. The agent searches for specific actions based on natural language intents to find the correct API operations.
  5. Commands are executed via the CLI, with the system handling all token refreshes and JSON data transformations.

Cloudcraft Setup

To begin using this integration with Openclaw Skills, first install the CLI:

npm install -g @membranehq/cli@latest

Next, authenticate your agent environment:

membrane login --tenant --clientName=openclaw

Finally, establish a secure connection to Cloudcraft:

membrane connection ensure "https://cloudcraft.co" --json

Cloudcraft Data Schema & Taxonomy

The Cloudcraft integration organizes data into several core entities within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem:

Entity Description
Diagram Contains nested resources, groups, and environment settings.
AWS Account Metadata regarding linked cloud provider accounts.
Action Schema JSON-defined inputs and outputs for every programmatic interaction.
Connection State Tracks authentication status (READY, BUILDING, or ACTION_REQUIRED).

Cloudcraft Advanced Features

  • Natural Language Intent Discovery: Find specific API actions by describing your goal instead of looking up documentation.
  • Transparent Proxying: Send raw requests to the Cloudcraft API with automated header and token injection.
  • Long-Polling Connection Support: Built-in mechanisms to wait for asynchronous connection states to reach readiness.
  • Zero-Secret Management: Openclaw Skills via Membrane handle the full credential lifecycle server-side, eliminating local security risks.
