What is Felo Slides?

The Felo Slides skill integrates the Felo PPT Task API into your AI workflow, enabling agents to transform complex notes or brief topics into fully formatted slide decks. As part of the Openclaw Skills ecosystem, it provides a seamless bridge between conceptual content and visual presentations, handling everything from task creation to final URL delivery.

This skill is particularly effective for developers and professionals who need to generate shareable assets without leaving their terminal or agent environment. By leveraging robust polling logic and status tracking, it ensures that presentation generation is reliable and transparent, providing structured metadata for every task initiated.

Felo Slides Use Cases

  • Turning project documentation or meeting notes into a structured presentation deck.
  • Rapidly generating topic-based slides with specific requirements for page counts.
  • Automating the export of technical outlines into shareable PowerPoint links.
  • Integrating slide generation into automated reporting or research workflows within Openclaw Skills.

How Felo Slides Works

  1. The skill first performs a precheck to ensure a valid FELO_API_KEY is configured in the environment.
  2. It triggers a Node.js script that sends a POST request to the Felo OpenAPI to create a new presentation task.
  3. The system enters a polling loop, checking the task status at defined intervals (defaulting to 10 seconds).
  4. Once the task reaches a terminal status like COMPLETED or SUCCESS, it retrieves the final ppt_url.
  5. The skill returns a formatted result including the download link, live document URL, and unique task identifiers.

Felo Slides Setup

1. Get your API Key

Visit felo.ai, navigate to Settings -> API Keys, and generate a new key.

2. Configure Environment

Add the key to your environment variables to enable the skill within the Openclaw Skills framework.

Linux/macOS:

export FELO_API_KEY="your-api-key-here"

Windows PowerShell:

$env:FELO_API_KEY="your-api-key-here"

Felo Slides Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill manages and returns the following technical metadata for every presentation task:

Field Description
task_id The unique identifier for the generation process
task_status The current state of the job (e.g., COMPLETED, SUCCESS, FAILED)
ppt_url The primary download link for the generated PowerPoint file
live_doc_url A web-based link to view the presentation online
ppt_business_id Internal tracking ID for the Felo business logic

Felo Slides Advanced Features

  • Structured JSON output support for secondary processing and multi-agent workflows.
  • Configurable polling parameters including custom intervals, maximum wait times, and timeouts.
  • Robust error handling for invalid API keys, downstream service failures, and network timeouts.
  • Support for both English and Chinese prompts to cater to global presentation needs within Openclaw Skills.
