What is Claw Desktop Pet?

The Claw Desktop Pet is a sophisticated visual interface designed to give your AI agent a physical form. Built using Electron and pure CSS/JS animations, it transforms the user experience of Openclaw Skills by providing a 67px fluid glass ball that lives on your desktop, breathes, blinks, and speaks. It serves as a personality-driven shell that bridges the gap between invisible background processes and active user engagement.

This application is specifically optimized for Openclaw Skills to provide real-time feedback through 15+ eye expressions and 7 mood color systems. By utilizing a dual-window architecture, it separates the character animation from the dialogue text, allowing for a non-intrusive yet highly present AI companion that enhances your daily productivity and interaction workflows.

Claw Desktop Pet Use Cases

  • Adding a visual and emotional layer to agents managed via Openclaw Skills.
  • Monitoring agent activity through intuitive mood colors and eye expressions.
  • Using desktop lyrics overlays to read agent responses without leaving your current application.
  • Implementing high-quality voice cloning for more natural and accessible AI interactions.
  • Synchronizing local agent communication with enterprise platforms like Feishu and Lark.

How Claw Desktop Pet Works

  1. The pet connects to the local agent infrastructure powered by Openclaw Skills via a gateway.
  2. Incoming data triggers the animation engine to change eye expressions and fluid colors based on the agent's state.
  3. The text-to-speech module processes dialogue using MiniMax or Edge TTS for immediate vocalization.
  4. Dialogue is displayed in a dedicated, transparent lyrics window with mouse pass-through enabled.
  5. The sprite remains reactive to user input, such as following the mouse or changing states when the agent is idle.
