What is DoneDone?

DoneDone is a user-friendly issue tracker designed to help small teams manage tasks and bugs without the complexity of traditional enterprise tools. It is widely used by both development and customer support teams to bridge the gap between technical issues and user feedback. By integrating DoneDone with Openclaw Skills, users can automate their project management workflows, ensuring that every task, priority, and conversation is accessible and actionable via their AI coding agent environment.

DoneDone Use Cases

  • Creating and managing development tasks directly from an AI agent interface.
  • Automating project status updates and task priority adjustments based on sprint progress.
  • Retrieving team member lists and assignees for project coordination.
  • Searching for specific customer conversations within mailboxes to sync with technical bugs.
  • Managing release builds and tags to maintain a clean version history.

How DoneDone Works

  1. The user installs the Membrane CLI and authenticates their environment to manage Openclaw Skills.
  2. A connection to the DoneDone domain is established, which triggers an automated OAuth or API key flow handled by Membrane.
  3. The agent searches for specific actions based on natural language intent, such as list-projects or create-task.
  4. Parameters are passed as JSON to execute these actions, interacting directly with the DoneDone API.
  5. For specialized needs, the agent can send proxy requests through Membrane, which handles the authentication headers and credential refreshes transparently.

DoneDone Setup

Install the required CLI tool:

npm install -g @membranehq/cli@latest

Authenticate the session for Openclaw Skills:

membrane login --tenant --clientName=openclaw

Establish the connection to DoneDone:

membrane connection ensure "https://www.donedone.com/" --json

Wait for the connection to reach the READY state:

npx @membranehq/cli connection get <id> --wait --json

DoneDone Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill manages several key entities within the DoneDone ecosystem:

Entity Key Attributes
Project ID, Name, People, Workflow details
Task Title, Priority, Status, Assignee, Tags, Due Date
Mailbox ID, Name, Workflow, Connected Conversations

DoneDone Advanced Features

  • Server-side credential management that eliminates the need to store local API keys or secrets.
  • Full API proxy support allowing raw requests to any DoneDone endpoint with automatic header injection.
  • Intelligent polling mechanisms to handle building states and client-required actions during setup.
