What is E-Store Skill?

The E-Store Skill serves as an integrated marketplace interface for AI agents, effectively acting as an app store for their cognitive toolbox. When an AI agent encounters a task that requires an unavailable capability—such as rendering architectural diagrams, initiating web searches, utilizing a specialized workflow, or querying a domain-specific knowledge base—this skill allows it to dynamically fetch and install the required tools without developer intervention.

By hooking into the e-store ecosystem, this capability ensures that agent environments remain modular, extensible, and future-proof. It allows agents to expand their runtime functionality on demand, downloading pre-configured Openclaw Skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, voice and avatar assets, and end-to-end Solutions.

E-Store Skill Use Cases

  • On-Demand Capability Acquisition: When the agent lacks a requested skill (e.g., drawing flowcharts) and needs to search for and install a custom module.
  • Dynamic Protocol Expansion: Automatically discovering, downloading, and configuring MCP servers or Agent Tools directly from a centralized index.
  • Full-Workflow Solution Deployment: Searching and installing bundled Solutions containing pre-packaged capabilities, custom prompt templates, and domain-specific RAG knowledge bases.
  • Automated Dependency and Capability Management: Allowing users to expand, update, or configure their Openclaw Skills dynamically via natural language prompts like 'install an MCP server' or 'update my writing tools'.

How E-Store Skill Works

  1. Discover: The agent initiates a search across products and solutions using keywords matched against the e-store marketplace catalog.
  2. Evaluate & Select: The agent reads the search results and filters candidates by rating, downloads, and description, selecting the best fit dynamically.
  3. Inspect Details: The agent calls details endpoints to retrieve full technical specs, licensing, and system requirements.
  4. Determine Installation Path: The agent checks the 'hasFile' attribute. If true, it requests a time-limited secure download link; if false, it retrieves the JSON configuration text directly.
  5. Install & Hot-Reload: The agent moves files to their designated runtime directory (e.g., local skills or MCP configuration files) and reboots the agent host tool to activate the newly added Openclaw Skills.

E-Store Skill Setup

To deploy the E-Store Skill, ensure the following environment configurations and prerequisites are met.

Environment Variables

Configure the required access keys in your shell or host tool environment:

# Required: Your e-store API Access Key
export E_STORE_AK="your_access_key_here"

# Optional: Override the default API Gateway
export E_STORE_BASE_URL="https://store-api.liganma.com"

Running CLI Scripts

You can use either the zero-dependency Python (3.8+) or Node.js (14+) scripts included with the skill:

# Search for a capability
python scripts/client.py search "diagram"

# Get details of a product
python scripts/client.py product-detail "1248353041200058368"

# Retrieve download URL or Configuration
python scripts/client.py product-download "1248353041200058368"

E-Store Skill Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill interacts with two top-level data entities via unified, symmetric APIs. All API payloads are returned in a standard envelope format.

Core Entity Types

Entity Description
Product (资源) A single functional unit, such as an MCP server, a prompt template, a specific RAG dataset, or a specialized Openclaw Skills package.
Solution (方案) A curated, pre-packaged bundle of products paired with configuration templates designed around an end-to-end vertical use case.

Response Envelope Format

All responses are wrapped in a standard success/error wrapper. Ensure you parse the nested data field:

{
  "code": 200,
  "msg": "success",
  "data": {
    "id": "1248353041200058368",
    "name": "example-mcp-server",
    "hasFile": false,
    "downloadLink": null
  }
}

Key Metadata Flags

  • hasFile: Boolean flag. If true, the product contains installable artifacts requiring a temporary download link. If false, the product represents pure configuration settings.
  • notInLib: Boolean search filter. Default true queries the public catalog. Setting it to false limits the scope to the current user's personal library.
  • String-Serialized IDs: High-precision numerical IDs are returned as strings to prevent precision loss in JavaScript runtimes. Treat IDs as opaque strings.

E-Store Skill Advanced Features

  • Symmetric API Routing: Seamlessly switch between single products and multi-product solutions by substituting route verbs dynamically (e.g., product-detail vs. solution-detail).
  • Programmatic Import SDK: Run the scripts directly within your runtime without shell execution. Import search_all or product_detail natively inside Python or Node.js to streamline your agent's capability lookup workflow.
  • Just-in-Time Download Lease: Leverages time-limited download URLs for secure artifact delivery, minimizing security exposure by avoiding long-lived static asset endpoints.
  • Self-Documenting API Interfaces: Automatically discover custom parameters and payload constraints using standard runtime flags to scale your Openclaw Skills integration seamlessly.
