What is Editor Link?

Editor Link is a powerful utility designed for the Openclaw Skills ecosystem that streamlines the video production workflow. It allows content creators to bypass the tedious process of exporting, uploading to cloud storage, and emailing massive files to collaborators. By leveraging a cloud rendering pipeline, this skill enables users to share a video with my editor so they can open and continue editing it by simply describing the desired outcome.

Built on a robust backend, the skill handles everything from file ingestion (up to 500MB) to complex timeline management using a specialized data schema. Whether you are generating a 1080p MP4 or creating a shared project timeline, Editor Link provides a seamless bridge between raw footage and professional post-production environments.

Editor Link Use Cases

  • Handing off raw footage and project timelines to professional editors without manual file transfers.
  • Rapidly generating 1080p MP4 previews of edited product demos for stakeholder approval.
  • Collaborative video editing where multiple team members need to access the latest timeline state.
  • Batch processing multiple video clips with unique instructions in a single editing session.

How Editor Link Works

  1. The user provides a video file (MP4, MOV, AVI, etc.) and a natural language instruction.
  2. The skill authenticates via NEMO_TOKEN and establishes a persistent session ID with the cloud processing backend.
  3. User intent is classified to route the request to either an SSE-based edit stream, a direct upload, or an export workflow.
  4. A cloud GPU node composites video layers, audio tracks, and text overlays based on the timeline state.
  5. The system generates a collaborative editor link or a rendered download URL in under 10 seconds for most clips.

Editor Link Setup

To initialize the Editor Link within your Openclaw Skills environment, ensure you have your API token configured.

# Set your environment variable
export NEMO_TOKEN="your_token_here"

# The skill will automatically detect the token or generate an anonymous session
# Connectivity check to https://mega-api-prod.nemovideo.ai

Editor Link Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill utilizes a compressed JSON draft schema to manage timelines efficiently.

Key Description
t Array of Tracks
tt Track Type (0: Video, 1: Audio, 7: Text)
sg Segments within the track
d Duration in milliseconds (ms)
m Metadata including filenames and effects

All session data is tied to a session_id, ensuring that timeline state, generated media, and video info are preserved across multiple prompts.

Editor Link Advanced Features

  • Multi-agent support for automated collaborative link sharing.
  • Real-time Server-Sent Events (SSE) for live editing feedback and timeline updates.
  • Automatic credit balance monitoring and session recovery for long-running render jobs.
  • Support for advanced timeline operations including text overlays, BGM integration (with volume control), and aspect ratio adjustments.
