What is ExpoFP?

ExpoFP is a specialized platform for event organizers to design and manage interactive floor plans for conferences and trade shows. By integrating this capability into your Openclaw Skills, you can programmatically manage sessions, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors. This skill acts as a bridge between AI agents and the ExpoFP API, enabling sophisticated event automation and real-time floor plan updates.

The integration leverages the Membrane framework to handle complex authentication and credential management. This ensures that developers can focus on building event logic—such as syncing attendee data or updating booth statuses—without worrying about the underlying auth plumbing or manual API token refreshes.

ExpoFP Use Cases

  • Synchronizing exhibitor lists and booth assignments from external CRMs to ExpoFP.
  • Automating the creation and update of event sessions and speaker profiles.
  • Managing attendee check-ins and lead retrieval workflows for trade shows.
  • Sending real-time alerts or content feed updates to event participants.
  • Querying floor plan data to provide interactive navigational assistance within an AI agent.

How ExpoFP Works

  1. Install the Membrane CLI to provide the necessary tooling for the agent to communicate with external services.
  2. Authenticate the agent session to secure a valid tenant connection for the desired organization.
  3. Establish a connection to the ExpoFP instance by providing the platform URL, which triggers an automated auth flow.
  4. Discover available actions by querying the connection with specific intents like managing exhibitors or sessions.
  5. Execute identified actions or use the proxy request feature to interact directly with the ExpoFP API endpoints.

ExpoFP Setup

First, install the CLI tools globally to enable command-line interactions:

npm install -g @membranehq/cli@latest

Next, authenticate your environment. For users of Openclaw Skills, specify the agent type during login:

membrane login --tenant --clientName=openclaw

Finally, create the connection to the ExpoFP service:

membrane connection ensure "https://expofp.com/" --json

ExpoFP Data Schema & Taxonomy

The ExpoFP skill organizes data around the core event management entities. Below is the primary taxonomy of supported data objects:

Entity Category Description
Core Event Includes Sessions, Speakers, and Attendees
Commercial Manages Sponsors and Exhibitors
Mapping Includes Maps, Floors, and Booth locations
Engagement Handles Surveys, Forms, and Content Feeds
System Manages Profiles, Profile Fields, and Alerts

ExpoFP Advanced Features

  • Headless authentication support for environments where a browser is not immediately available.
  • Transparent credential refresh management ensuring long-running event automations never lose access.
  • Direct API proxying allowing raw requests to any ExpoFP endpoint with automatic header injection.
  • Intent-based action discovery which allows agents to find the right tool for a task using natural language.
  • Robust JSON output support for all commands to facilitate seamless multi-agent orchestration within Openclaw Skills.
