What is hudy?

HuDy is a robust Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that empowers AI agents to handle the nuances of the Korean calendar system. By utilizing this skill within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem, developers can bridge the gap between simple date arithmetic and complex, region-specific business logic that accounts for South Korean government-mandated holidays and custom organization-specific dates.

The skill is particularly valuable for users who need their AI agents to perform high-precision scheduling, financial due-date calculations, or project management tasks within the Korean market. It sources its data directly from the Korean government open data portal, ensuring that holiday information is always accurate and up-to-date.

hudy Use Cases

  • Calculating project delivery dates by adding specific business days while skipping Korean holidays
  • Checking if a specific date is a working day for financial transaction processing
  • Automating the management of custom company holidays within a team calendar
  • Retrieving a full list of public holidays for a specific year to plan corporate events

How hudy Works

  1. The AI agent connects to the HuDy MCP endpoint using an authenticated API key from the hudy.co.kr platform.
  2. When a user requests date information, the skill queries its database of official Korean government holiday data.
  3. The skill applies logic to exclude weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and identified holidays to calculate business day counts or future dates.
  4. For Pro users, the skill overlays custom-defined holidays on top of the public calendar for personalized results.

hudy Setup

1. API Key Acquisition

Sign up at hudy.co.kr and retrieve your API key from the user dashboard.

2. Integration

To add this to your collection of Openclaw Skills using Claude Code, execute:

claude mcp add --transport http hudy https://www.hudy.co.kr/api/mcp -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY"

For Claude Desktop or Cursor, update your mcpServers configuration file with the following entry:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "hudy": {
      "url": "https://www.hudy.co.kr/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

hudy Data Schema & Taxonomy

HuDy utilizes a standardized data format to ensure compatibility across different AI agents and integrations:

Field Description Format
Date Standard ISO date format YYYY-MM-DD
Holiday Type Classification of the date Public / Custom
Business Day Boolean status of the date True / False
iCal Sync External calendar integration URL

All public holiday data is synchronized with the Korean government open data portal (data.go.kr).

hudy Advanced Features

  • Advanced business day arithmetic including add_business_days and subtract_business_days functions
  • Comprehensive CRUD operations for custom holiday management tailored to specific organizational needs
  • Support for iCal synchronization to export holiday data to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook
  • High-limit API access for Pro users to support intensive automation and research workflows
