What is Logos and Vectors?

Openclaw Skills' Logos and Vectors workflow produces true SVG artwork—paths, fills, and color regions that stay editable in Illustrator, Figma, and the browser. It is built for logos, icons, app glyphs, badges, and scalable illustrations where clean geometry matters more than a flat raster export.

Use it when you need to generate a new mark from a prompt or convert an existing PNG/JPG into a compact, resolution-independent SVG. Unlike a standard image model that only returns pixels, this skill is designed to output real vector geometry, making Openclaw Skills the right choice for crisp scaling, recoloring, and design handoff.

Logos and Vectors Use Cases

  • Create new flat logos, emblems, icons, and app glyphs from a text prompt.
  • Convert a clean PNG or JPG into an editable SVG for design-tool handoff.
  • Vectorize flat brand marks, badges, and simple illustrations that must stay sharp at any size.
  • Trace line art or screenshots of flat artwork into compact, resolution-independent paths.
  • Produce a scalable mark for websites, product UI, or print where a raster would blur.
  • Pair a vector symbol with exact lettering generated separately via text-in-image when a wordmark is required.

How Logos and Vectors Works

  1. Decide whether you are generating a new vector from a description or converting an existing raster image.
  2. Resolve the live model schema with runware-run and confirm the fields before calling; Openclaw Skills explicitly warns not to hardcode stale model choices.
  3. For generation, use recraft:v4-pro@vector with a positivePrompt, and optionally lock palette/background with providerSettings.recraft.colors and backgroundColor.
  4. For conversion, upload the source image under inputs.image and run either recraft:1@1 or picsart:1@1 to trace it into SVG.
  5. Send taskType: vectorize and outputFormat: SVG, then run synchronously because vectorize completes without async polling.
  6. Open the returned imageURL and inspect the SVG paths, fills, and color regions to confirm the result is a real vector and not an embedded bitmap.
  7. If the design includes words, generate the lettering separately with text-in-image and compose it with the vector mark instead of relying on the vectorizer to spell it.

Logos and Vectors Setup

  • No local package install is required for the skill itself; Openclaw Skills uses the Runware ecosystem to generate or vectorize artwork.
  • Make sure the related skills are available in your workspace: runware-run, runware-models, runware-prompting, and text-in-image.
  • Verify the live model schema before every integration so you do not rely on stale field names or retired model IDs.
  • Prepare clean source artwork for conversion: flat color, high contrast, and minimal noise produce the best SVG.
# Confirm the Openclaw Skills workspace has access to the supporting Runware skills
# runware-run
# runware-models
# runware-prompting
# text-in-image
# Preflight a raster source before vectorizing
file ./source.png
# Prefer PNG or JPG that is flat, high-contrast, and simple enough to trace cleanly
# Set the required vectorize mode in your request
# taskType: vectorize
# outputFormat: SVG

Logos and Vectors Data Schema & Taxonomy

Input schema

Field Applies to Required Notes
taskType all models Yes Must be vectorize for every path in Openclaw Skills.
positivePrompt recraft:v4-pro@vector Yes Describes the new logo/icon/vector illustration.
inputs.image recraft:1@1, picsart:1@1 Yes Source PNG/JPG used for raster-to-SVG conversion.
providerSettings.recraft.colors recraft:v4-pro@vector Optional Locks the palette more reliably than hex values in prose.
providerSettings.recraft.backgroundColor recraft:v4-pro@vector Optional Controls background color when generating.
width / height recraft:v4-pro@vector Optional Must be sent together and selected from the model's fixed 2K aspect-ratio set.
outputFormat all models Default SVG Only supported output format.

Output schema

Field Meaning
imageURL The returned SVG asset URL.
imageUUID Unique identifier for the generated or traced asset.

Asset and taxonomy notes

  • Generation path: prompt -> SVG geometry.
  • Conversion path: raster image -> traced SVG.
  • Color taxonomy: flat fills, clean color regions, optional locked palette, minimal gradients.
  • Quality taxonomy: editable paths, sane path count, crisp scaling, and recognizable shape preservation.
  • Validation rule: open the SVG and confirm it is true vector geometry, not a PNG embedded inside an SVG wrapper.

Logos and Vectors Advanced Features

  • Generates real SVG geometry instead of a raster image that only looks vector-like.
  • Supports both prompt-to-vector creation and raster-to-SVG vectorization in one Openclaw Skills workflow.
  • Palette control via providerSettings.recraft.colors and backgroundColor for brand-safe output.
  • Two different tracers, recraft:1@1 and picsart:1@1, let you compare simplification styles on the same source.
  • Synchronous execution keeps the pipeline fast because vectorize jobs do not require async polling.
  • Fixed 2K sizing on Recraft V4 Pro Vector gives predictable, high-quality output dimensions.
  • Pair with text-in-image when a logo needs legible words, taglines, or a wordmark component.
  • Clean source inputs produce compact paths, making the SVG easier for designers to edit in Figma or Illustrator.
