What is neomano-x?

The neomano-x skill is a robust integration designed for Openclaw Skills that enables AI agents to interact directly with the X API. It provides a secure bridge for drafting social media content, handling media uploads, and managing the publication lifecycle without hardcoding sensitive credentials.

Built with a focus on safety, this skill ensures that no content is ever posted live without explicit human intervention. By leveraging the power of Openclaw Skills, developers can build workflows that iterate on tweet copy and alt-text suggestions, ensuring high-quality social engagement while maintaining full control over the final output.

neomano-x Use Cases

  • Automating social media drafts based on project updates or technical documentation.
  • Managing brand presence on X with a mandatory human-in-the-loop approval step.
  • Streamlining the process of uploading media and adding descriptive alt-text for better accessibility.
  • Testing tweet formatting and image attachments in a dry-run environment before going live.

How neomano-x Works

  1. The AI agent gathers the desired tweet text and a local or inbound image file path from the user.
  2. A draft version of the tweet is generated, including suggested alt-text for any attached media.
  3. The user reviews and requests revisions until the content is perfected.
  4. Upon the specific trigger command PUBLICAR or PUBLISH, the skill executes a Python script that uploads the media via the v1.1 endpoint and creates the tweet via the v2 endpoint.
  5. If approval is not granted, the skill maintains a dry-run state to prevent unauthorized posts.

neomano-x Setup

First, ensure you have python3 installed and set your environment variables (X_API_KEY, X_API_SECRET, X_ACCESS_TOKEN, X_ACCESS_TOKEN_SECRET) in your .env file.

1. Initialize Virtual Environment

Run the bootstrap script to isolate dependencies for this Openclaw Skills component:

python3 {baseDir}/scripts/bootstrap_venv.py

2. OAuth Authentication (If needed)

If you lack access tokens, use the 3-legged flow:

# Start the flow
{baseDir}/.venv/bin/python {baseDir}/scripts/oauth1_flow.py auth-start

# Finish after getting the verifier from the browser
{baseDir}/.venv/bin/python {baseDir}/scripts/oauth1_flow.py auth-finish --oauth-token "TOKEN" --oauth-token-secret "SECRET" --oauth-verifier "VERIFIER"

neomano-x Data Schema & Taxonomy

The neomano-x skill utilizes a structured approach to handle media and configuration metadata within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem:

Data Type Description
Environment Variables Stores API keys and OAuth tokens securely.
Media Path Accepts local absolute paths or inbound media stream paths for uploads.
Metadata Includes clawdbot specific tags such as the 𝕏 emoji and binary requirements.
CLI Arguments Uses --text and --image flags to pass structured content to the execution script.

neomano-x Advanced Features

  • Human-in-the-loop: Strict requirement for uppercase PUBLICAR or PUBLISH commands ensures zero accidental posts.
  • Dry-run mode: Allows full simulation of the posting logic without hitting the live X API endpoints.
  • Multi-endpoint integration: Seamlessly combines X API v1.1 for media processing with v2 for modern tweet management.
  • Localized isolation: Uses a private virtual environment to prevent conflicts with other Openclaw Skills or system packages.
