What is omi-me?

The omi-me skill for Openclaw Skills provides a robust bridge between your AI agent and the Omi.me platform. It allows users to capture, retrieve, and manage their digital memories, tasks, and discussions directly through a specialized CLI. This integration ensures that your Openclaw Skills setup has access to your long-term context and actionable items stored in Omi.me.

By leveraging this skill, developers can automate the creation of memories or tasks based on agent interactions. It effectively turns Omi.me into a dynamic knowledge base for your AI workflows, enhancing the utility of Openclaw Skills by maintaining a persistent state of user preferences and project progress.

omi-me Use Cases

  • Syncing project-related action items from Omi.me to your local workspace.
  • Capturing developer preferences as memories to maintain consistency across agent sessions.
  • Managing and searching through conversation histories to retrieve past context.
  • Automating task completion updates within the Omi ecosystem via CLI commands.

How omi-me Works

  1. The user configures the Omi.me API token using the dedicated omi-token.sh management script.
  2. The omi CLI tool interacts with the Omi.me REST API to perform CRUD operations on memories, tasks, and conversations.
  3. Data is synchronized between the Omi.me cloud and the local Openclaw Skills environment using the sync commands.
  4. Users or agents can search and retrieve specific context to inform better AI decision-making.

omi-me Setup

Automated Setup

Run the provided setup script to initialize the environment for Openclaw Skills:

bash ~/.openclaw/workspace/skills/omi-me/scripts/setup.sh

Manual Configuration

  1. Create the configuration directory:
mkdir -p ~/.config/omi-me
  1. Set your API token:
echo "your_omi_dev_token" > ~/.config/omi-me/token
chmod 600 ~/.config/omi-me/token
  1. Verify connection using the Openclaw Skills utility:
omi-token.sh test

omi-me Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill organizes data around three primary entities stored in Omi.me and accessed via Openclaw Skills:

Entity Data Attributes
Memories ID, content, type (e.g., preference), timestamp
Tasks ID, title, description, due date, status (pending/complete)
Conversations ID, title, participants, message history

All local configuration and tokens are stored in ~/.config/omi-me/ to ensure persistent access for Openclaw Skills.

omi-me Advanced Features

  • Full synchronization support for memories, tasks, and conversations via the omi sync all command.
  • Interactive token management and connection testing with omi-token.sh.
  • Contextual memory creation with specific types to categorize information for Openclaw Skills.
  • Automated rate limit tracking and handling of 429 responses to ensure reliable API interactions during bulk operations.
