What is Outfits?

The Outfits skill transforms your AI agent into a digital stylist and wardrobe manager. By leveraging Openclaw Skills, this tool creates a structured workspace to catalog your clothing, save inspiration from various sources, and generate creative combinations. It moves beyond simple lists to provide intelligent style analysis, helping you understand your personal aesthetic while reducing daily decision fatigue through organized clothing data.

This skill is designed to prioritize the clothes you already own, encouraging sustainable fashion habits through creative reuse. Whether you are prepping for a formal wedding or building a capsule wardrobe for travel, the system provides logical reasoning for every suggestion, ensuring your choices align with both the weather and the specific dress code of your destination.

Outfits Use Cases

  • Save outfit inspiration from social media platforms like Instagram or Pinterest directly into your workspace.
  • Generate stylish combinations based on the inventory of clothes you already own.
  • Plan specific looks for upcoming events like weddings, business meetings, or travel.
  • Develop a consistent personal style by tracking patterns in your saved inspiration.
  • Create capsule wardrobes to maximize the utility of versatile clothing pieces.

How Outfits Works

  1. Initialize the ~/outfits/ workspace to organize your style data.
  2. Catalog your clothing inventory in a simple, readable markdown format within the clothes.md file.
  3. Capture and tag inspiration images or URLs with specific notes on specific elements like layering or color combos.
  4. Request outfit suggestions from your AI agent, which synthesizes your inventory with your saved style preferences.
  5. Save successful combinations into dedicated folders for quick reference during your morning routine.

Outfits Setup

To get started with Outfits in the Openclaw Skills framework, ensure your agent has access to your local filesystem. Use the following commands to initialize the directory structure:

mkdir -p ~/outfits/inspiration/{casual,formal,streetwear}
mkdir -p ~/outfits/my-outfits/{work,weekend,events}
touch ~/outfits/clothes.md ~/outfits/style-notes.md

Once the directories are created, begin by listing your most-worn items in clothes.md to provide the agent with immediate context.

Outfits Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill uses a clean filesystem-based taxonomy for all style data to ensure portability and ease of use within Openclaw Skills:

Directory/File Description Format
~/outfits/inspiration/ Folders categorized by style (e.g., minimalist, classic). Images/URLs
~/outfits/my-outfits/ Documented combinations with pieces, occasion, and notes. Markdown
clothes.md A flat list of inventory categorized by type (Tops, Bottoms, etc.). Markdown
style-notes.md A log of personal preferences, color palettes, and style evolution. Markdown

Outfits Advanced Features

  • Style pattern recognition that identifies recurring elements in your saved inspiration folders.
  • Capsule wardrobe mathematics to calculate the maximum number of combinations from a small set of pieces.
  • Context-aware event planning that accounts for weather, venue types, and nuanced dress codes.
  • Multi-stage progressive enhancement tracks your journey from basic cataloging to advanced style development.
  • Cross-referencing capabilities that surface which items in your inventory are the most versatile based on saved combinations.
