What is Parma?

Parma is a specialized SaaS application designed for restaurants to streamline online order management, from initial receipt to final fulfillment. This integration, part of the Openclaw Skills library, extends Parma functionality to AI agents, allowing them to interact with Projects, Documents, and CRM entities like Leads and Deals. By utilizing Membrane as the underlying infrastructure, the skill simplifies complex API interactions into manageable actions with built-in authentication handling.

Parma Use Cases

  • Automating the lifecycle of online restaurant orders and fulfillment status updates.
  • Managing CRM data including Persons, Organizations, and Deals directly through an AI interface.
  • Programmatically creating and organizing project documents and paragraph-level content.
  • Searching and retrieving restaurant activity logs for reporting and analysis.

How Parma Works

  1. The AI agent initializes the Membrane CLI and authenticates using the Openclaw client type.
  2. A secure connection is established to the Parma instance using a normalized URL or domain.
  3. The system polls the connection state to ensure it is ready or prompts the user for necessary OAuth actions.
  4. The agent searches for specific actions based on natural language intent (e.g., "find recent orders").
  5. Actions are executed with JSON parameters, or direct proxy requests are sent to the Parma API with automatic header injection.

Parma Setup

Install the Membrane CLI globally to begin using Openclaw Skills:

npm install -g @membranehq/cli@latest

Authenticate your agent environment:

membrane login --tenant --clientName=openclaw

Ensure a connection to Parma is established:

membrane connection ensure "https://www.parma.ai/" --json

Parma Data Schema & Taxonomy

The Parma skill organizes data according to the following hierarchy and entity model:

Level Description
Project The top-level container for managing specific restaurant initiatives or locations.
Document Structured files stored within a Project.
Paragraph The smallest unit of text data within Documents.
Template Reusable blueprints for standardized data entry and order processing.

Additionally, the skill manages CRM metadata including Persons (contacts), Organizations (business entities), and Deals (sales opportunities).

Parma Advanced Features

  • Intent-based discovery: Automatically find the best action for a task using natural language queries.
  • Transparent Auth Lifecycle: Membrane manages all credential refreshes and OAuth flows server-side.
  • Headless Support: Specialized login flows for environments without a local browser.
  • Direct API Proxy: Send custom requests to any Parma endpoint with automatic authentication injection.
  • Machine-readable Output: Support for --json flags on all commands for seamless multi-agent chaining.
