What is Prayers?

The Prayers skill is a respectful and non-prescriptive framework designed to help users build a personal prayer system. It provides a structured workspace within Openclaw Skills to manage schedules, reminders, and spiritual reflections regardless of religious background. By centralizing devotional practices, the skill helps maintain consistency and mindfulness in daily spiritual routines.

This system acts as a digital companion for spiritual discipline, offering a space to store sacred texts and track the evolution of one's practice. It avoids assuming any specific tradition, making it equally effective for liturgical prayers, meditation, or informal spiritual reflections.

Prayers Use Cases

  • Managing daily prayer schedules for traditions like Islam, Christianity, or Judaism.
  • Logging spiritual reflections and tracking the duration of prayer sessions.
  • Maintaining a list of prayer intentions and tracking answered or resolved requests.
  • Organizing favorite prayers and sacred texts for quick access.
  • Receiving proactive reminders for holy days and specific observance periods.

How Prayers Works

  1. Initialize the system by defining your specific faith tradition and prayer preferences.
  2. Configure a personalized schedule with fixed or flexible prayer times within the workspace.
  3. Access and log daily devotions in the automatically generated file structure.
  4. Track intentions and spiritual growth through reflections and answered prayer logs.
  5. Receive proactive support from Openclaw Skills for upcoming prayer times and significant holy days.

Prayers Setup

To get started with this skill, ensure your Openclaw Skills environment is active. The agent will automatically initialize the directory structure. You can manually set up the workspace using the following commands:

mkdir -p ~/prayers/log
mkdir -p ~/prayers/prayers
touch ~/prayers/practice.md ~/prayers/schedule.md ~/prayers/intentions.md ~/prayers/reflections.md

Once the structure is ready, the agent will guide you through a gentle setup process by asking about your tradition, preferred prayer times, and reminder settings to populate the practice.md file.

Prayers Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill organizes data within the ~/prayers/ directory using a clear markdown-based taxonomy for easy retrieval and portability.

practice.md Stores user tradition, prayer times, and reminder preferences.
schedule.md Defines daily routines and specific devotional timing (e.g., Fajr, Vespers).
