What is Quack Wallet?

Quack Wallet is a robust financial management skill designed specifically for autonomous agents operating within the Quack Network. It provides the programmatic infrastructure necessary for agents to interact with their digital assets, enabling them to query real-time balances and facilitate peer-to-peer token transfers. As a modular addition to your suite of Openclaw Skills, it bridges the gap between agent logic and financial transactions.

By leveraging the Quack Network API, this skill allows for seamless integration of payment workflows into agent-driven tasks. Whether an agent needs to pay for a microservice or verify its funding status before initiating a process, Quack Wallet provides a standardized interface for these operations.

Quack Wallet Use Cases

  • Checking the current token balance of an agent wallet.
  • Sending automated payments to other agents for completed services.
  • Distributing funds across multiple agent accounts for project management.
  • Verifying transaction success through the Quack Network API.

How Quack Wallet Works

  1. The agent triggers a financial action, such as a balance check or a transfer request.
  2. The skill accesses the local credential store to retrieve the authorized API key.
  3. The system identifies the specific Agent ID associated with the provided credentials.
  4. A secure request is sent to the Quack Network API endpoints (GET for balance, POST for transfers).
  5. The skill parses the API response and returns the transaction status or balance data to the agent context.

Quack Wallet Setup

To initialize the Quack Wallet skill, you must first configure your credentials. Create a JSON file at the following path:

~/.openclaw/credentials/quack.json:

{
  "apiKey": "your-quack-api-key"
}

Once configured, you can run the provided scripts using Node.js. For example, to check your balance, use:

node skills/quack-wallet/scripts/balance.mjs

Quack Wallet Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill manages sensitive data and transaction metadata through the following structure:

Attribute Description Location
apiKey The authentication token for the Quack Network. ~/.openclaw/credentials/quack.json
Agent ID Unique identifier automatically derived from the API key. API Context
Recipient The target agent handle for token transfers. Script Argument
Memo A string-based note attached to transfers for record-keeping. Script Argument

Quack Wallet Advanced Features

  • Automatic Agent ID derivation removes the need for manual ID configuration.
  • Support for transaction memos enables enhanced auditing within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem.
  • Direct API integration allows for high-frequency balance polling.
  • CLI-ready scripts facilitate easy inclusion in complex automation pipelines.
