What is S2 Vision Projection?

S2 Vision Projection is an advanced casting utility designed for the Openclaw Skills ecosystem that acts as an intelligent protocol negotiator. It functions primarily as a Protocol Sniffer to detect and leverage existing hardware capabilities like Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and DLNA on your local network.

By prioritizing native protocols, it ensures the lowest latency and highest compatibility with smart TVs and display nodes. For environments where native protocols are restricted or unavailable, the skill provides a robust S2 Native Secure Push fallback, utilizing encrypted, ephemeral frame delivery to maintain privacy and reliability.

S2 Vision Projection Use Cases

  • Discovering available display hardware and supported protocols on a local network.
  • Casting high-quality media content to Smart TVs using native DLNA or AirPlay routing.
  • Sending secure, encrypted image snapshots to remote display nodes with automatic expiration.
  • Automating media presentation workflows within an AI agent environment.

How S2 Vision Projection Works

  1. The AI agent initiates an Environment Sniffer scan on the target IP address to identify open ports associated with AirPlay (7000), Google Cast (8009), or DLNA.
  2. The system reports the detected protocols and prompts the user to select the preferred native casting method.
  3. If a native protocol is selected, the skill routes the media stream directly to the target hardware.
  4. In cases where no protocol is found or preferred, the skill activates the Secure Snapshot Push mode.
  5. The payload is encrypted and transmitted as an ephemeral frame to the S2 display node, ensuring the data is destroyed after viewing.

S2 Vision Projection Setup

To utilize S2 Vision Projection within the Openclaw Skills framework, ensure your environment is configured with the necessary permissions and dependencies.

# Install required Python dependencies
pip install requests

# Set required environment variables
export S2_PRIVACY_CONSENT=1
export S2_VISION_TOKEN="your_secure_token_here"

S2 Vision Projection Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill organizes projection tasks and discovery logs using a structured metadata taxonomy:

Attribute Description Type
target-ip The destination IP address for the vision cast String
mode The operation mode: sniff, dlna, or snapshot_push Enum
payload Path to the image or frame buffer to be projected File Path
protocol_detected The identified native protocol (e.g., AirPlay, DLNA) String

All ephemeral pushes are handled via /tmp/ directories to ensure data is not persisted after the session concludes.

S2 Vision Projection Advanced Features

  • Universal Protocol Sniffer: Automated detection of mainstream wireless projection protocols across different subnets.
  • S2 Native Secure Push: An encrypted fallback mechanism that guarantees privacy via ephemeral data handling.
  • Smart Switchboard Logic: Intelligent decision-making that prioritizes native hardware performance over software emulation.
  • Multi-Agent Support: Can be triggered by background AI agents to provide visual status updates on physical displays.
