What is Shuttle?

Shuttle provides a streamlined ecosystem for developers to deploy and scale web applications without the complexities of manual infrastructure management. By utilizing this skill within Openclaw Skills, developers can interact with Shuttle entities like trips, waypoints, vehicles, and drivers. The integration leverages the Membrane framework to handle authentication and credential refreshing automatically, allowing for secure and efficient cloud operations.

Shuttle Use Cases

  • Automating the deployment of web applications to cloud environments.
  • Managing logistical data records for transportation assets and personnel.
  • Synchronizing waypoint and trip status updates in real-time.
  • Bridging AI agents in Openclaw Skills with infrastructure management tasks.
  • Orchestrating complex workflows involving Shuttle contacts and driver assignments.

How Shuttle Works

  1. The Membrane CLI is initialized and authenticated to handle the secure communication channel.
  2. A connection is established to a specific Shuttle domain or app URL using the connection ensure command.
  3. The system polls for connection readiness, handling any required client actions like OAuth authentication.
  4. Available actions are discovered using natural language intent searches to find the most efficient task handler.
  5. Specific actions are executed or proxy requests are sent to the Shuttle API to manipulate data or infrastructure state.

Shuttle Setup

First, install the Membrane CLI to enable integration with Openclaw Skills:

npm install -g @membranehq/cli@latest

Authenticate your agent environment:

membrane login --tenant --clientName=openclaw

Establish a connection to your Shuttle instance:

membrane connection ensure "https://shuttleglobal.com" --json

If the connection is building, wait for readiness:

membrane connection get <connection_id> --wait --json

Shuttle Data Schema & Taxonomy

The Shuttle skill organizes data into a structured taxonomy for infrastructure and logistics management:

Component Description
Trip Represents a deployment mission or logistical journey.
Waypoint Specific logical or geographic markers within a trip lifecycle.
Vehicle The infrastructure or physical assets utilized in the process.
Driver The authenticated identity or controller managing the vehicle.
Contact Metadata and communication details associated with the account.

Shuttle Advanced Features

  • Intent-based action discovery to minimize token usage and improve accuracy in Openclaw Skills.
  • Automated credential lifecycle management for persistent headless authentication.
  • Direct API proxying with automatic header injection and base URL normalization.
  • Long-polling support for asynchronous connection states and deployment tracking.
  • Support for structured JSON output across all commands for programmatic parsing.
