What is Tencent Cloud COS & CI Integration?

The Tencent Cloud COS skill is a highly comprehensive integration that connects AI coding agents to Tencent Cloud Object Storage (COS) and Cloud Infinite (CI) data intelligence services. Built as one of the premier Openclaw Skills, this tool enables your agent to manage files, perform complex image or video transformations, run AI-powered OCR, handle content moderation, and execute smart speech processing.

Beyond basic storage operations, the skill acts as an intelligent data processor and knowledge retrieval engine. It natively wraps the Tencent Cloud Node.js SDK, enabling developers and agents to dynamically build vector-like semantic knowledge bases, process office documents, perform multi-modal image searches, and securely manage cloud credentials using advanced AES-256-GCM session encryption.

Tencent Cloud COS & CI Integration Use Cases

  • Storing and retrieving application files, generating time-limited presigned URLs dynamically.
  • Processing media assets on the fly, including image cropping, AI super-resolution, video transcoding, and watermarking.
  • Running automated content moderation across text, images, video, and documents to filter policy-violating content.
  • Creating semantic document search knowledge bases (RAG) by dynamically grouping storage buckets and multi-modal MetaInsight datasets.
  • Converting office documents (Word, Excel, PPT) to PDF or HTML previews directly within cloud storage pipelines.

How Tencent Cloud COS & CI Integration Works

  1. Environment Verification: The skill initializes by checking the local Node.js environment and verifying the cos-nodejs-sdk-v5 installation via setup.sh.
  2. Credential Loading: Credentials (SecretId, SecretKey, Token) are securely loaded from temporary session environment variables, .env, or decrypted .env.enc files.
  3. Command Execution: The AI agent invokes scripts/cos_node.mjs with specific action arguments (e.g., upload, hybrid-search, ocr-general).
  4. Tencent Cloud API Request: The Node.js SDK makes signed HTTPS requests to Tencent Cloud COS and CI endpoints.
  5. Response Processing: Structured JSON responses are parsed and formatted gracefully for the AI agent to consume or display to the user.

Tencent Cloud COS & CI Integration Setup

Run the following CLI commands to install the necessary SDK dependencies and configure your secure cloud credentials.

# Step 1: Check environment readiness
./scripts/setup.sh --check-only

# Step 2: Export your credentials (using STS Temporary Keys is highly recommended)
export TENCENT_COS_SECRET_ID="your_secret_id"
export TENCENT_COS_SECRET_KEY="your_secret_key"
export TENCENT_COS_TOKEN="your_sts_token" # Required only for temporary credentials (STS)
export TENCENT_COS_REGION="ap-guangzhou"
export TENCENT_COS_BUCKET="your-bucket-1250000000"

# Step 3: Initialize and install Node SDK locally
# Ephemeral mode (credentials in session only)
./scripts/setup.sh --from-env

# Or Persistent mode (credentials saved to local .env)
./scripts/setup.sh --from-env --persist

Tencent Cloud COS & CI Integration Data Schema & Taxonomy

Environment Variables Schema

Variable Description Sensitivity Required
TENCENT_COS_SECRET_ID Tencent Cloud API Secret ID Critical Yes
TENCENT_COS_SECRET_KEY Tencent Cloud API Secret Key Critical Yes
TENCENT_COS_TOKEN STS Session Token for temporary access High Optional
TENCENT_COS_REGION Target bucket region (e.g., ap-beijing) Low Yes
TENCENT_COS_BUCKET Target storage bucket (name-appid) Low Yes
TENCENT_COS_DATASET_NAME Default MetaInsight dataset name Low Optional

Project File Structure

  • scripts/cos_node.mjs: Central execution script interfacing with the Node SDK.
  • scripts/setup.sh: Bash script to install dependencies and configure local environment files.
  • .env: Plaintext credentials configuration file (restricted permissions 600, automatically added to .gitignore).
  • .env.enc: AES-256-GCM encrypted credentials file, cryptographically locked to the host machine.

Tencent Cloud COS & CI Integration Advanced Features

  • AES-256-GCM Local Encryption: Protect plain text keys with the encrypt-env command, deleting the insecure .env file and cryptographically binding credentials to the current machine.
  • STS Token Integration: Leverage time-limited Temporary Security Credentials to maintain zero-trust cloud architecture inside your AI platform.
  • One-Click Knowledge Base (RAG) Provisioning: Execute create-knowledge-base to automatically provision a cloud bucket, spin up a DocSearch dataset, and perform multi-modal index binding in seconds.
  • Multi-Modal Search Engines: Execute AI image matching, text-to-image queries, face recognition, and hybrid semantic document queries without deep cloud experience.
  • Unified Extension Gateway: Use ci-request to invoke raw Cloud Infinite APIs, allowing immediate scaling for newly released Tencent Cloud features.
