What is a-stock?

a-stock is a specialized tool within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem that enables AI agents to access the Chinese stock market. It retrieves live market data for stocks listed on the Shanghai (SH) and Shenzhen (SZ) exchanges, providing essential metrics such as current price, volume, and market capitalization.

Beyond simple data retrieval, this skill empowers your AI agent to act as a technical analyst. It automatically calculates complex indicators like Moving Averages (MA), Relative Strength Index (RSI), and MACD. By integrating this into Openclaw Skills, developers can build automated trading assistants or research bots that understand market trends and identify potential entry or exit points in real-time.

a-stock Use Cases

  • Monitoring real-time price fluctuations and trading volumes for specific A-share tickers.
  • Automating technical analysis reports to identify overbought or oversold conditions using RSI.
  • Detecting market trend reversals through MACD crossovers and Moving Average systems.
  • Conducting fundamental snapshots including P/E ratios and total market valuation for investment screening.

How a-stock Works

  1. The agent receives a 6-digit stock code (e.g., 600519 or 000001) from the user.
  2. It automatically identifies the exchange: Shanghai stocks (starting with 6) or Shenzhen stocks (starting with 0 or 3).
  3. The skill constructs a targeted URL to fetch live data from major financial platforms like East Money.
  4. It parses the page to extract real-time price, change percentages, and historical K-line data.
  5. Mathematical models are applied to the raw data to calculate MA, RSI, and MACD indicators.
  6. A structured, technical report is generated and returned to the user or subsequent agent in the workflow.

a-stock Setup

To integrate this capability into your environment, ensure you have the Openclaw Skills framework configured. Use the following command to add the skill:

# Install the a-stock skill into your agent environment
openclaw install a-stock

Ensure your agent has internet access to reach financial data providers.

a-stock Data Schema & Taxonomy
