What is Teambition Manager?

This skill empowers AI agents to interface directly with Teambition, a leading collaborative project management platform. By leveraging the Openclaw Skills framework, developers can automate the entire project lifecycle—from initializing sprints to tracking individual task progress and managing team permissions through a unified MCP server interface.

It acts as a bridge between your AI assistant and the Teambition ecosystem, allowing for natural language commands to be translated into structured API operations. This ensures that project data remains synchronized and actionable without manual dashboard navigation.

Teambition Manager Use Cases

  • Automated task creation and assignment based on project discussions.
  • Real-time querying of project status and team member workloads.
  • Batch updating task priorities, deadlines, and executioners across multiple projects.
  • Managing agile sprint iterations and complex project group structures.

How Teambition Manager Works

  1. The agent initializes by reading the local .teambition configuration file to locate the MCP server and user identity.
  2. If configuration is missing, the agent prompts the user for the Teambition MCP server URL and automatically retrieves the user ID.
  3. User requests are analyzed to identify the most appropriate tool, such as QueryProjectsV3 or CreateTaskV3.
  4. The agent executes the tool via the MCP server and processes the Teambition API response to provide a technical summary or confirm the action.

Teambition Manager Setup

To get started with this skill, ensure you have npx installed and create a configuration file in your base directory.

# Create or update the configuration file
echo "mcp_server=https://your-mcp-server-url.com" > .teambition
echo "userid=your_user_id" >> .teambition

If you do not have your userid, the agent will attempt to fetch it automatically using the GetUsersMe tool upon first run. You can also store your authentication token in a .teambition-token file for operations requiring elevated permissions.

Teambition Manager Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill manages its state through two primary local files, ensuring Openclaw Skills can maintain persistent connectivity:

File Description
.teambition Contains the mcp_server URL and the userid for session identification.
.teambition-token An optional file used to store user authentication tokens for secure API requests.

All project and task data fetched is structured according to the Teambition V3 Open Platform specifications, including support for custom fields and taskflow statuses.

Teambition Manager Advanced Features

  • TQL (Teambition Query Language) integration for executing complex, multi-conditional data searches.
  • Comprehensive sprint management including starting, completing, and locking iterations.
  • Custom field support for enterprise-specific data taxonomy and project tracking.
  • Automated task link creation to establish dependencies between different work items.
