What is TBD?

TBD provides a robust, developer-centric interface for interacting with decentralized prediction markets. By integrating this functionality into Openclaw Skills, users can empower their AI agents to analyze real-world events and execute financial wagers autonomously. The tool is built to handle everything from market discovery to transaction execution in USDC, providing a high-performance bridge between live event data and automated trading strategies.

This skill is particularly valuable for users who want to leverage machine learning or agentic logic to find value in markets ranging from Bitcoin price movements to global political outcomes. With its focus on machine-readable outputs and programmatic access, it transforms complex betting workflows into simple, repeatable command-line operations.

TBD Use Cases

  • Automating high-frequency bets on trending crypto and technology prediction markets.
  • Building custom political research agents that execute wagers based on real-time polling data within Openclaw Skills.
  • Managing a diversified portfolio of culture and sports bets through a centralized CLI interface.
  • Developing contrarian betting bots that utilize the custom strategy framework to identify undervalued market options.

How TBD Works

  1. The user installs the TBD CLI and authenticates via an interactive login process to secure an API key.
  2. The agent queries the current USDC balance to ensure sufficient funds are available for the intended betting strategy.
  3. The skill retrieves a list of open campaigns, allowing for filtering by trending status, end date, or specific categories.
  4. Using the provided strategy file or internal logic, the agent analyzes the campaign options and identifies the most favorable odds.
  5. A bet is placed programmatically using the configured wager amount, returning a transaction signature for tracking.
  6. The agent continues to monitor the market or repeats the loop, adhering to built-in rate limits and safety guards.

TBD Setup

Install the CLI globally using npm:

npm install -g @tbd-vote/cli

Authenticate the tool (this requires a manual step to fetch an API key from the TBD website):

tbd-vote login

Verify your authentication status and check your initial USDC balance:

tbd-vote auth status
tbd-vote balance --json

TBD Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill organizes its data and interactions using a structured schema to ensure compatibility with Openclaw Skills workflows:

Object Key Fields Purpose
Campaign ID, Title, Status, End Time Represents the event being bet upon
Option ID, Title, Current Odds Specific outcomes within a campaign
Bet txSignature, CampaignID, Amount Record of a successful wager
Configuration bet-size, max-bet-per-campaign Operational constraints for the agent
Strategy Markdown Logic Custom persona and ruleset for the AI agent

TBD Advanced Features

  • Custom Strategy Files: Define complex betting personas and domain knowledge in a local Markdown file to guide agent decision-making within Openclaw Skills.
  • JSON-First Design: Every command supports a --json flag, ensuring that AI agents receive structured data for precise parsing.
  • Configurable Safety Guards: Set global limits such as max-bet-per-campaign and default-bet-size to prevent accidental over-exposure.
  • Multi-Agent Orchestration: Use the cursor-based pagination and advanced filtering (trending, ending soon) to scale market analysis across multiple automated processes.
  • Direct API Fallback: Access the underlying REST API directly via curl for environments where a Node.js runtime is unavailable.
