What is Vultisig?

Vultisig is an agent-first SDK designed to enable autonomous and secure crypto operations across dozens of blockchains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. By utilizing the DKLS23 threshold signature (TSS) protocol, it eliminates the single point of failure inherent in traditional seed phrases. This skill allows developers using Openclaw Skills to implement self-custodial vaults that range from fully autonomous Fast Vaults to Secure Vaults requiring human co-signing.

The framework provides a robust interface for developers to build decentralized finance applications that require cross-chain mobility and high-security standards. Whether managing treasury operations or automated trading strategies, this skill ensures that private keys are never stored in a single location, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access.

Vultisig Use Cases

  • Automated cross-chain asset rebalancing and DCA strategies using Openclaw Skills.
  • Agent-to-agent payments and autonomous treasury management.
  • Building self-custodial wallet interfaces for decentralized applications.
  • Triggering conditional token swaps based on real-time market data.
  • Implementing secure multi-device transaction approval for high-value operations.

How Vultisig Works

  1. Initialize the SDK with a preferred storage provider to manage vault data and session states.
  2. Create a Fast Vault for autonomous agent execution or a Secure Vault for flows requiring human approval.
  3. Retrieve chain-specific addresses for any of the 36+ supported blockchains using the vault instance.
  4. Execute a three-step transaction lifecycle: prepare the keysign payload, sign using MPC/TSS, and broadcast to the network.
  5. Monitor transaction status and refresh balances to confirm finality across various chain explorers.

Vultisig Setup

Install the Vultisig SDK via npm to begin integrating with Openclaw Skills:

npm install @vultisig/sdk

Initialize the SDK in your TypeScript project to manage your vaults:

import { Vultisig, MemoryStorage } from '@vultisig/sdk';

const sdk = new Vultisig({ storage: new MemoryStorage() });
await sdk.initialize();

Vultisig Data Schema & Taxonomy

Data Type Description Structure
Vault Share Encrypted MPC key material used for signing Encrypted JSON Object
Balance Token amount, decimals, symbol, and USD value JSON Object
Chain ID PascalCase identifiers for 36+ blockchains String (e.g., 'Ethereum')
Keysign Payload Prepared transaction data before signing Hex-encoded Payload
Backup Portable vault recovery data .vult (Base64 String)

Vultisig Advanced Features

  • Support for 36+ blockchains including UTXO (Bitcoin), EVM (Ethereum), and Cosmos/IBC ecosystems.
  • Native cross-chain swapping via THORChain, MayaChain, 1inch, LiFi, and KyberSwap.
  • Integration with $VULT token discount tiers to reduce transaction fees for high-volume agents.
  • Event-driven architecture for monitoring vault creation progress and real-time signing steps.
  • BIP39 seedphrase import with automatic chain discovery for migrating legacy wallets into TSS vaults.
