What is ZARZOOM?

The ZARZOOM skill connects OpenClaw to ZARZOOM's multi-platform social posting API, allowing users to publish articles, short posts, and short-form videos across Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Reddit, and Google Business. It supports platform discovery, media uploads, scheduling, validation, queue management, cancellation, submission tracking, and analytics.

Every submission enters ZARZOOM's required compliance review before publication. Openclaw Skills users receive clear status updates, platform eligibility results, posting URLs, rate-limit guidance, and human-readable error recovery instead of raw API responses.

ZARZOOM Use Cases

  • Submit an HTML article with optional images, hashtags, and selected social platforms.
  • Publish a 50–150 word short post with optional single-image media.
  • Upload and distribute a video with a caption, thumbnail, and platform targeting.
  • Discover connected platforms and compare content, image, text, and video limits before publishing.
  • Validate a post with a dry run to identify content or platform eligibility issues without writing data.
  • Schedule content for a specific time in the workspace timezone.
  • Check pending, approved, rejected, posted, or failed submissions and retrieve platform URLs.
  • Review the posting queue and cancel submissions or queued platform deliveries.
  • Read the content calendar, override copy or platform selection, and track compliance re-review.
  • Analyze workspace performance, top posts, engagement, reach, followers, and platform-level results.
  • Check API usage, scopes, key expiration, and remaining daily write quota.

How ZARZOOM Works

  1. The user provides a natural-language publishing request, content, media, and optional target platforms or schedule.
  2. OpenClaw verifies that ZARZOOM_API_KEY is configured and uses it as a Bearer token for every API request.
  3. If platforms are unspecified, the skill calls the capabilities endpoint to identify connected accounts and content eligibility.
  4. Attached images and videos are uploaded through a two-step presigned R2 flow: request an upload URL, then PUT the raw bytes with the matching MIME type.
  5. The skill converts plain text or Markdown articles into HTML, checks word and character limits, validates media constraints, and prepares the content payload.
  6. Every write request receives a fresh UUID v4 Idempotency-Key to prevent accidental duplicate submissions.
  7. ZARZOOM returns a 202 Accepted response containing a submission ID, pending status, status URL, and per-platform eligibility results.
  8. OpenClaw explicitly explains that an administrator must complete compliance review before posting, then lists eligible and skipped platforms with reasons.
  9. Users can poll a submission, list content, inspect the posting queue, read the calendar, or check per-post delivery status.
  10. After approval, ZARZOOM publishes to eligible platforms; the skill reports each platform's status, timestamp, URL, or safe error code.
  11. Analytics, usage summaries, and platform comparisons are translated into concise, actionable language rather than exposing raw JSON.

ZARZOOM Setup

  1. Create a ZARZOOM developer API key at https://zarzoom.com/dashboard/api-keys.
  2. Add the key to the OpenClaw configuration and enable the skill:
mkdir -p ~/.openclaw
# Edit ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json and add the zarzoom skill entry
{
  skills: {
    entries: {
      "zarzoom": {
        enabled: true,
        apiKey: {
          source: "env",
          provider: "default",
          id: "ZARZOOM_API_KEY"
        },
        env: {
          ZARZOOM_API_KEY: "zarz_live_..."
        }
      }
    }
  }
}
  1. Alternatively, export the required environment variable in the runtime that launches OpenClaw:
export ZARZOOM_API_KEY="zarz_live_..."
  1. Confirm that the key has access to the required scopes, including api:read:content, api:read:status, and api:write:content where applicable.
  2. Connect the desired social accounts in ZARZOOM, then use the skill to discover available platforms before the first submission.
  3. Keep in mind the default limits: 60 read requests per minute per key and 40 write submissions per day per workspace. On HTTP 429, use the X-RateLimit-Reset timestamp instead of retrying blindly.
  4. If the key is missing, revoked, or malformed, the skill must refuse API calls and direct the user to https://zarzoom.com/dashboard/api-keys.

ZARZOOM Data Schema & Taxonomy

API conventions

Field or component Purpose
Base URL https://zarzoom.com/api/v1
Authentication Authorization: Bearer ${ZARZOOM_API_KEY} on every call
Write protection Fresh UUID v4 Idempotency-Key on submit, create, and other write operations
JSON requests Content-Type: application/json
Media uploads Presigned R2 PUT using the file's exact MIME type
Response envelope Primary result under data; API metadata under meta
Error envelope error.code, error.message, structured error.details, and error.request_id

Content and media records

  • Articles use title, HTML body, optional image_keys, matching image_alts, up to 10 hashtags, and optional selected_platforms. The body supports up to 20,000 characters after HTML stripping and 3,000 words.
  • Shorts use text, an optional single image_key, up to 10 hashtags, and optional selected platforms. Text must contain 50–150 words.
  • Videos use video_key, caption, optional duration_seconds, thumb_key, hashtags, and selected platforms. Videos support MP4 or WebM, up to 100 MB and 60 seconds; captions support up to 2,200 characters.
  • Images use JPEG, PNG, or WebP MIME types, up to 30 MB per file. Upload responses provide an upload_key; the temporary upload_url and expiration timestamp are never sent in the content submission.

Submission and delivery metadata

  • Submission objects include submission_id, status, content_type, timestamps, rejection details, a dashboard status URL, and per_platform_status.
  • Submission statuses are pending, approved, or rejected.
  • Platform status records include eligibility, reason or message, posted_at, and post_url when delivery occurs.
  • Queue records include post_id, platform, delivery status, timestamps, URLs, and safe error codes such as delivery_failed.
  • Lists use limit and opaque cursor pagination, with the next cursor stored at meta.next_cursor.
  • Calendar items organize planned date and time, content type, status, platforms, headline, hook, angle, CTA, tone, key points, hashtags, viral strength, and video approval metadata.
  • Analytics are grouped under data into time windows, totals, top-performing content, and per-platform engagement, reach, and follower metrics.
  • Usage records include key scopes, expiration, IP allowlist, request totals, endpoint and daily counts, status counts, and read/write rate-limit counters.

ZARZOOM Advanced Features

  • Presigned R2 uploads keep large media transfers separate from JSON submission requests and support article images, short-post images, video files, and thumbnails.
  • Idempotent write workflows use fresh UUID v4 keys and provide recovery guidance for key conflicts.
  • Platform-aware validation reports per-platform eligibility before publication without modifying account data.
  • Multi-platform delivery status distinguishes eligible, skipped, posted, posting, failed, cancelled, and already-posted outcomes.
  • Compliance-aware lifecycle messaging prevents the agent from implying that a post was published instantly.
  • Scheduling supports immediate-after-approval publishing or a specific HH:MM workspace time, rolling to the next day when necessary.
  • Partial queue cancellation reports the result for each platform rather than incorrectly claiming that an entire post was cancelled.
  • Calendar overrides support controlled edits to headlines, hooks, angles, CTAs, tone, hashtags, key points, notes, and platform selections; edits automatically re-enter compliance review.
  • Cursor-based pagination supports large submission, content, queue, and calendar histories.
  • Analytics endpoints provide overview totals, top performers, and per-platform comparisons for 7-, 14-, 30-, 60-, or 90-day windows.
  • Structured error handling covers authentication failures, validation issues, missing or cross-workspace uploads, idempotency conflicts, rate limits, and transient server errors.
  • User-facing responses prioritize submission IDs, platform URLs, relative dates, dashboard destinations, and concise summaries over raw JSON.
