What is zscore?

The zscore skill provides a robust interface for interacting with the Zeru ERC-8004 Identity Registry. It allows developers to formalize their AI agents' existence on-chain by minting NFTs that represent unique agent identities. This skill is essential for anyone building within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem who needs to establish trust, manage agent metadata, or handle agent-specific wallets on the Base blockchain. By leveraging the ERC-8004 standard, it ensures interoperability across different AI and blockchain frameworks.

zscore Use Cases

  • Registering a new AI agent with professional metadata including name, description, and avatar.
  • Configuring multi-protocol support such as MCP, A2A, and OASF for agent-to-agent communication.
  • Managing agent-owned wallets to enable autonomous on-chain transactions.
  • Updating specific agent metadata keys or clearing wallet associations for lifecycle management.
  • Checking real-time registration fees and verifying the operational status of agents on Base.

How zscore Works

  1. The user defines agent details via a structured JSON file or simple CLI arguments.
  2. The skill interacts with the Agent URI API to create a hosted JSON document following the ERC-8004 registration-v1 schema.
  3. A transaction is executed on the Zeru Identity Registry (Base Mainnet or Sepolia) to mint an Identity NFT using the provided private key.
  4. Following a successful mint, the skill automatically updates the hosted metadata document with the permanent on-chain agentId.
  5. Users can then perform read operations to query the blockchain for owner info, tokenURIs, and specific agent metadata.

zscore Setup

To enable zscore within your Openclaw Skills environment, first install the necessary dependencies:

cd {baseDir} && npm install

Next, configure your environment by adding your funded private key to your Openclaw configuration file (~/.openclaw/openclaw.json):

{
  "skills": {
    "entries": {
      "zscore": {
        "enabled": true,
        "env": {
          "PRIVATE_KEY": "0xYourFundedPrivateKey"
        }
      }
    }
  }
}

zscore Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill utilizes the ERC-8004 registration-v1 schema for data organization. Metadata is stored in a JSON format that balances human readability with machine-actionable service endpoints.

Field Type Description
name string Agent identifier (1-256 chars)
description string Functional summary of the agent
services array List of service endpoints (MCP, A2A, OASF, agentWallet, etc.)
x402Support boolean Indicates support for the x402 payment protocol
active boolean Current operational status of the agent

zscore Advanced Features

  • Multi-chain flexibility allowing seamless switching between Base Mainnet and Base Sepolia testnet.
  • Detailed Service Registry support for advanced protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP) and OASF.
  • On-chain metadata management allowing owners to set custom key-value pairs for dynamic agent traits.
  • Automated registration lifecycle that handles URI hosting, NFT minting, and ID back-filling in a single flow.
  • Read-only mode capabilities to query registry data and fees without requiring a private key.
