LocalMode UI Product Information

What is LocalMode UI?

LocalMode UI is an open-source, MIT-licensed toolkit and shadcn-style registry for building privacy-first AI interfaces that run entirely in the browser. It provides more than 100 copy-owned React components and 36 installable blocks for chat, RAG, vector search, vision, audio, agents, privacy, and developer tools. Models run locally through WebGPU or a WebAssembly fallback, so applications can work without servers or API keys and keep user data on the device.

How to use LocalMode UI?

Browse the LocalMode UI component registry or Blocks gallery, configure the @localmode namespace in components.json, and install components with the shadcn CLI, such as npx shadcn@latest add @localmode/ui/conversation/message. For AI blocks, download the required models in the browser, then use the installed React components to run chat, RAG, transcription, vision, or other local AI workflows. After the initial model download, supported applications can run offline.
