How does Floating Subtitles work?

Floating Subtitles captures audio from content playing on the phone and displays translated subtitles while you continue watching the video. It can use screen capture by default or the phone microphone when screen capture cannot access the audio.

Why does real-time translation stop working after connecting to a VPN?

A VPN can change server routing and make the connection to ViiTor unstable. Configure the VPN to exclude ViiTor or consult the VPN provider for instructions.

Why are there no translations after enabling Floating Subtitles?

Confirm that the video has sound. Some livestreams and videos use technology that prevents audio capture through screen recording. In that situation, switch to the phone microphone. Headphones cannot be used when the phone microphone is receiving the audio.

Can ViiTor read translated results aloud?

Yes. Simultaneous interpretation and dialogue translation can read translated results aloud when the Autoplay option is enabled.

Can I customize the voice used for translation?

Simultaneous interpretation offers different voice tones depending on the translation language, but custom tones are not currently supported. Dialogue translation uses a default voice.

Why might subtitles be slow or inaccurate for some videos?

Subtitle processing is affected by server performance. Fast speech and long videos may result in slower processing or reduced accuracy.

Why can Android adjust floating-window transparency while iOS cannot?

Android and iOS use different system permissions. iOS currently has stricter restrictions on floating-window display, so transparency adjustment is not supported there.
