Welcome to this overview video of the Mini App Opening Eye Assistant by CMA. In this mini app, we will focus on the functionality of the assistant, allowing You to have a conversation with the actual assistant. We will explore the various actions involved in creating and using the assistant. Please note that while all the actions are currently enabled, some premium actions will be exclusive to CMA membership or CMA Wallet account holders in the future.
Creating Your Assistant
To Create your assistant, head over to Open AI and log in. Once logged in, navigate to the Playground and click on the "Assistant" tab on the left-HAND side. Here, you can create your own assistant by clicking the "Create" button. Give your assistant a name, provide instructions, and select the model you want to use. For this mini app, the recommended model is the latest model, gp4 turbo. Enable retrieval as this is the most commonly used function. Additionally, upload business-related information that users need to know. This information will be used by your assistant to answer questions.
Uploading Business Related Information
To ensure your assistant can provide accurate responses, upload Relevant business-related information as a file. You can upload up to 10 different files directly from your computer. These files will serve as a source of knowledge for your assistant to answer user questions.
The Flow of the Mini App
The flow of the mini app is designed to facilitate a smooth conversation with the assistant. We have provided a template that you can use to follow along. The flow begins by checking if the user already has a thread ID. If not, a thread is created. The flow then progresses to ask a question or set a default reply. In the create message step, provide the thread ID and the user's question. The response mapping will provide a message ID and the entire payload.
Asking a Question
Within the flow, you have the option to ask a question. By using the create message step, you can ask a specific question to the assistant. This will be the question that the assistant will respond to.
Creating a Message
In the flow, there is a step for creating a message. Here, you will need to provide the thread ID and the message, which is the user's question. Once executed, the response mapping will provide a message ID and the entire payload associated with the message.
Running the Assistant
To enhance the assistant's knowledge about a specific question, a run is created. Within this run, include the thread ID, assistant ID, and any additional instructions if needed. This step allows the assistant to Gather more information relevant to the user's question.
Retrieving the Response
After the run is created, we can retrieve the response from the assistant. This step involves listing the run steps by providing the thread ID and the run ID. The response will be a specific JSON value that can be extracted for further use.
Completing the Assistant Run
The assistant run may still be in progress, so it's important to check the status. If the status is still in progress, retrieve the message again and extract the values using JSON parsing. If the run status is complete, move on to the next action.
Outputting the Assistant Reply
Finally, we can output the assistant's reply. This step allows you to see the assistant's response to the user's question. The template and mini app will be provided to you so that you can easily install and use the mini app with all the necessary actions.
