Updated Hash Rates on Intel Arc A380

The mining landscape has undergone some changes since the last time we covered the hash rates for the Intel Arc A380 and A750 graphics cards. With the introduction of newer operating systems and improvements in miners supporting Intel Arc, it is now possible to achieve higher hash rates. In this article, we will delve into the updated hash rates for the Intel Arc A380 when using the mmpos mining operating system. We will explore various algorithms and delve into the power consumption of these graphics cards.

Elysium

Starting off with Elysium, we achieved a hash rate of 430 Mega hashes at 55 Watts. This is approximately five more Mega hashes per Second compared to what was achieved in Windows. Additionally, we achieved a hash rate of 1.55 Giga hashes per second at 190 Watts on the A750. These numbers represent a significant improvement over the previous results.

LOL Miner

Unfortunately, when it comes to LOL Miner, neither Elysium nor Nano Miner are supported within mmpos from an Intel perspective. As a result, we were unable to run certain algorithms such as Beam on either card. However, we did see substantial improvements with Bitcoin Gold, which is the Z hash algorithm. In Windows, we were only getting 18 hashes per second on the A750. In mmpos, we were able to achieve 63 hashes per second at 190 Watts. This represents a significant improvement over the previous results.

Dynex

Dynex proved to be a Game-changer on the A380. In Windows, we were getting 250 hashes per second. However, in mmpos, we were able to achieve 1.17 kilohashes at only 40 Watts. Similarly, on the A750, we saw significant improvements, going from 330 hashes per second to 1.3 kilohashes per second at 108 Watts. These results highlight the efficiency of Dynex on the A380, as it achieves similar hash rates to the A750 while consuming only a third of the power.

Ergo

Moving on to Ergo, we encountered some limitations within mmpos. LOL Miner did not work, but SRB Miner did. Unfortunately, there was no kernel available for the A380, rendering it unable to mine Ergo. However, on the A750, we achieved around 127 Mega hashes at 174 Watts. Ergo plus elf yielded around 120 Mega hashes on Argyle and 839 Mega hashes on elf, with a power consumption of 190 Watts. Similarly, on Caspa, we achieved 118 Mega hashes on Ergo and 117 Mega hashes on Caspa at 190 Watts.

Zil

MMPOS had limited support for Zil algorithms. While we were able to achieve 127 Mega hashes on Ergo and 52 Mega hashes on zero, we faced difficulties with other algorithms such as Eth and EthW. Zale switching, however, did work and allowed for mining on Zil.

Conclusion

In conclusion, with the use of the mmpos mining operating system, we observed improvements in hash rates for the Intel Arc A380 graphics card compared to running on Windows. Specifically, algorithms such as Dynex and Ergo showed significant improvements. However, it is important to note the limitations and lack of support for certain algorithms within mmpos. Overall, the updated hash rates demonstrate the potential of the Intel Arc A380 when utilized with the proper mining operating system and miners.
