Technical users needing complex image handling and API integration within an n8n workflow.

Overview

Managing content syndication across multiple platforms is incredibly time-consuming. This comprehensive n8n workflow solves this by providing a hands-free solution for content distribution. It starts by monitoring an RSS feed. Crucially, before publishing, it leverages an AI Agent to rewrite, summarize, or generate unique social media captions based on the article's core content, ensuring better engagement across channels. The content is then published to WordPress, complete with advanced featured image handling (including resizing via an n8n node). Finally, the content is automatically syndicated to LinkedIn, Facebook, Discord, and Telegram. This sophisticated n8n template ensures your audience is reached everywhere, while the integrated AI makes your repurposed content fresh.

How it Works

The entire process is initiated by the Schedule Trigger n8n node, which ensures the workflow runs at predefined intervals.

  1. Trigger & Read: The n8n trigger starts the flow. A Set n8n node defines the RSS link, which is then read by the RSS Feed Read n8n node, fetching the latest articles.

  2. AI Repurposing: The fetched article data is passed to the AI Agent n8n node (powered by an OpenAI language model). The agent generates optimized, short-form content suitable for social media syndication or cleans up the main article content.

  3. Validation: An If n8n node checks if the required data (like the article link or content) exists before proceeding.

  4. Image Preparation: The workflow uses a series of HTTP Request n8n nodes to download the article's image and convert it into binary data. This is crucial for cross-platform sharing.

  5. WordPress Publishing Pipeline: The main article is posted using the WordPress n8n node. This is immediately followed by a complex series of steps: the image is downloaded, edited (using the Edit Image n8n node, perhaps for resizing or formatting), and then uploaded to WordPress via specialized HTTP Request n8n nodes. Final steps involve linking the media and setting it as the featured image, demonstrating advanced WordPress interaction within the n8n workflow.

  6. Social Syndication: The AI-generated content and the article link are simultaneously posted across five channels: LinkedIn Profile, LinkedIn Page, Facebook Page, Telegram Channel, and Discord Channel.

  7. Final Notifications: After successful completion of all publishing steps, the flow hits a 'Do nothing' merge point, leading to multiple notification n8n nodes. Notifications are sent via WhatsApp (Rapiwa), Telegram, Gmail, and Discord, confirming the execution of the n8n workflow.

Installation Guide

To deploy this powerful n8n template, follow these steps:

  1. Import: Copy the provided JSON and import it into your n8n instance.

  2. Credentials: You must set up credentials for all service n8n nodes used:

OpenAI: Required for the AI Agent n8n node for content generation.
WordPress: Needed for creating posts and uploading media.
Social Media: Credentials for Facebook Graph API, LinkedIn, Discord, and Telegram are essential.
Rapiwa/Gmail: Set up credentials for the final notification nodes.

  1. Configuration: Update the Add RSS link Set n8n node with the URL of your target RSS feed.

  2. Trigger Setup: Configure the Schedule Trigger n8n node to define how often you want the n8n workflow to check for new articles (e.g., every 30 minutes, daily).

  3. Activation: Once all credentials are saved and configurations are verified, activate the n8n workflow.

Node Details

Schedule Trigger (n8n trigger): The starting point for this automated n8n workflow, defining the execution schedule.
RSS Read Domani (RSS Feed Read n8n node): Fetches new article data from the specified feed URL, providing the source material for the rest of the n8n workflow.
AI Agent (LangChain n8n node): Works in conjunction with the OpenAI n8n node to generate repurposed, unique descriptions and summaries for social media posts, enhancing the value of the content syndication.
If (check link) (If n8n node): Controls the flow, ensuring subsequent steps only run if the necessary content or links are successfully retrieved from the RSS feed.
Create WordPress Post (WordPress n8n node): The core publishing action, creating the article post on the target WordPress site.
Edit Image (Edit Image n8n node): Performs image manipulation (resizing, cropping) on the downloaded article image before it is uploaded to WordPress, ensuring correct featured image dimensions.
HTTP Request n8n nodes (upload media to wp, set featured image): Used for advanced WordPress API interactions necessary to upload binary media files and assign them as the post's featured image, tasks that go beyond the basic WordPress n8n node functionality.
Social Media Nodes (Discord, Telegram, LinkedIn, Facebook n8n nodes): These nodes handle the automatic, simultaneous distribution of the AI-processed content across various channels.
