Manually transcribing data from LinkedIn profiles is inefficient and prone to errors. This specialized n8n workflow solves this by leveraging Airtop, a powerful scraping tool combined with AI large language models, to extract complex profile data and standardize it into a clean JSON output.

This robust n8n template can be executed via a simple web form or called as a sub-workflow, making it highly versatile for integration into larger systems. The Airtop n8n node performs the web scraping in a real browser session (essential for LinkedIn) and then uses a predefined prompt and schema to ensure the returned data is perfectly structured, including nested fields for experience, education, skills, and certifications. Implementing this n8n workflow saves significant time and guarantees high data quality for downstream systems like CRMs or databases.

This n8n workflow is designed for maximum flexibility, starting with one of two distinct n8n trigger types:

1. Form Submission: The workflow can be activated manually by submitting a public form, providing the LinkedIn URL and the necessary Airtop profile name.


2. Workflow Execution: Alternatively, it can be triggered by another n8n workflow, allowing for bulk processing or integration into larger automation pipelines.

Next, the Parameters n8n node consolidates the input variables (URL and profile name) regardless of which n8n trigger was used. These variables are then passed to the core Airtop n8n node. This node navigates to the LinkedIn URL using a specified browser profile connected to LinkedIn. It then executes an advanced AI extraction query, utilizing a detailed JSON schema to guarantee that fields like work experience, education, languages, and skills are captured precisely. Finally, a subsequent Edit Fields n8n node extracts the clean modelResponse from the Airtop output, presenting the fully structured LinkedIn data as the final result of the n8n workflow, ready for the next step in your automation.

1. Download the n8n workflow JSON: Save the provided JSON code locally.

3. Airtop Credentials: You will need an Airtop API key. In the n8n interface, go to 'Credentials,' search for 'Airtop API,' and enter your key.


4. Airtop Profile Setup: Ensure you have an Airtop Profile configured and connected to LinkedIn (requiring a one-time login via Airtop's portal). Note the profile name; you will need to provide this name when running the n8n workflow.

On form submission (n8n trigger): This is one of the two starting points for the n8n workflow, enabling manual execution via a web form interface. It requires the user to input the 'Linkedin Person Profile URL' and the 'Airtop Profile (connected to Linkedin)' name.

When Executed by Another Workflow (n8n trigger): The second n8n trigger allows this n8n workflow to be modularly called by other automation processes, accepting LinkedinURL and Airtopprofile inputs.

Parameters (Set n8n node): Merges inputs from either trigger into standardized variables (LinkediURL and Airtopprofile) for seamless integration with the next n8n node.

Airtop (Airtop n8n node): The core extraction and AI parsing step. It uses the extraction resource and the query operation. Key configuration includes a comprehensive text prompt detailing every piece of desired LinkedIn data (experience, skills, certifications, connections) and a mandatory, strict JSON schema that guides the AI to produce guaranteed structured output.
