Who is this best for?

  • Content marketers who need to rapidly repurpose articles across various social platforms.

  • Social media managers looking for efficient, AI-powered n8n workflow templates for content scheduling.

  • Automation enthusiasts who want to leverage the power of n8n to integrate messaging apps (Telegram) with AI and social APIs.

  • Anyone needing a robust n8n solution for logging, generating, and publishing content with minimal manual intervention.

Overview

Manually transforming a single article into unique, platform-optimized posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn is incredibly time-consuming. This comprehensive n8n workflow solves this problem by creating a high-speed automation pipeline. Triggered simply by sharing a URL via Telegram, the n8n template automatically scrapes the article content, uses large language models (LLMs) to craft distinct posts tailored for each platform (professional LinkedIn, engaging Facebook, punchy Instagram), generates a matching featured image, and publishes the entire package immediately. Furthermore, all activity is meticulously logged in Google Sheets, and a final confirmation, including the direct post links, is sent back to the user via Telegram. This specific n8n workflow is a powerful demonstration of what centralized automation can achieve.

How it Works

The entire process is initiated by the n8n trigger when a user sends a message containing a URL to the configured Telegram bot.

  1. Trigger and Validation: The n8n trigger, a Telegram Bot Trigger node, receives the message. An 'If' n8n node checks if a valid URL is present. If not, an informative message is sent back via Telegram.

  2. Data Extraction & Logging: A Function n8n node isolates the URL and chat details. This initial data is logged into Google Sheets using the 'Append or update row' n8n node for tracking.

  3. Content Fetching: An HTTP Request n8n node fetches the raw HTML content of the provided URL. A subsequent Function n8n node cleans the HTML, extracting the core text and title, ensuring the data is clean and manageable for the AI.

  4. AI Content Generation: Three parallel OpenAI n8n node instances run simultaneously, using custom prompts to generate platform-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, ensuring optimal tone and length for each network.

  5. Image Generation Pipeline: The workflow generates a detailed image prompt (using a Basic LLM Chain n8n node, based on the article's core theme) and feeds it to the OpenAI 'Generate an image' n8n node (DALL-E). The resulting image is uploaded to Supabase Storage via an HTTP Request n8n node for public access.

  6. Multi-Platform Publishing: The workflow merges the content and the Supabase public image URL. Dedicated n8n nodes and HTTP Requests post the content to Facebook, Instagram (requiring a two-step process using media and media_publish), and LinkedIn.

  7. Final Status & Reporting: 'Code' n8n node segments are used to parse the publishing API responses and construct the final direct URL links for each post. A Merge n8n node consolidates all resulting URLs and data. This data is used to update the original entry in Google Sheets and send a confirmation photo message (with the image and all post URLs) back to the user via Telegram.

Installation Guide

To deploy this powerful n8n workflow template, follow these steps:

  1. Import the n8n Workflow: Copy the provided JSON and import it into your n8n instance via the 'Workflows' menu.

  2. Set up Telegram: Configure the Telegram Bot Trigger n8n node with your bot's API token. This is the main n8n trigger for the system.

  3. Google Sheets Credentials: Create and link Google Sheets OAuth2 credentials. Ensure you update the 'Append or update row in sheet' and 'Final Status Update' n8n nodes with your specific spreadsheet ID.

  4. AI Services: Configure OpenAI API credentials. This n8n workflow relies on both text generation (for post content) and image generation (DALL-E).

  5. Supabase Setup: Configure Supabase API credentials. Update the 'Supabase Config' n8n node with your base URL and target bucket name where images will be stored.

  6. Social Media Credentials: Set up Facebook Graph API credentials for publishing to Facebook and Instagram. For LinkedIn, configure LinkedIn OAuth2 credentials and update the 'LinkedIn' n8n node with your Person URN.

  7. Custom Code Adjustments: In the HTTP Request n8n nodes for Facebook and Instagram posting, replace [INSERTYOURSITEID] with your specific Facebook Page ID and Instagram Business Account ID. Review the 'Code' n8n node to replace FACEBOOKPAGEUSERNAME> with your actual page username for accurate link construction.

Node Details

Telegram Bot Trigger n8n trigger: Initiates the workflow upon receiving a message. It specifically listens for incoming messages.
Function (Extract URL/Extract Text Content) n8n nodes: Custom JavaScript logic is used here. The first extracts the URL from the chat message; the second scrapes the fetched HTML and cleans it into a readable text block, limiting content length for efficient AI processing.
Append or update row in sheet (Google Sheets n8n node): Used early in the n8n workflow to log the source URL and track the execution status in a spreadsheet.
OpenAI (Facebook Post, Instagram Post, LinkedIn Post) n8n nodes: Key components that use specific, detailed prompts to transform the raw article content into three distinct, platform-optimized social media posts. This demonstrates specialized use of the n8n node for generative AI.
OpenAI (Generate an image1) n8n node: Takes the refined image prompt and generates a corresponding visual asset for the social posts.
Upload to Supabase (HTTP Request n8n node): Handles the binary upload of the AI-generated image to a cloud storage bucket, making it publicly accessible for social media APIs.
HTTP Request (Post to Facebook/Instagram) n8n nodes: Utilize the Facebook Graph API via direct HTTP calls to publish content, leveraging configured credentials.
LinkedIn n8n node: A dedicated n8n node for posting the final, professional content and the generated image to the user's LinkedIn feed.

  • Final Status Update (Google Sheets n8n node): Updates the spreadsheet row with the content body, generated image URL, and the final published links for all three platforms.
