Overview

This advanced n8n workflow automates the entire feedback retrieval and analysis pipeline from Trustpilot. Manually collecting and analyzing customer reviews is time-consuming, especially when needing to scale across multiple companies. This n8n workflow provides a solution by combining robust web scraping (Bright Data) with intelligent analysis (OpenAI).

The core of the automation uses an AI agent to read the specified Trustpilot page, retrieve the latest 5 reviews, perform sentiment analysis (positive, neutral, or negative), summarize the main issue, and format the results into a perfect JSON structure. The final step ensures this valuable data is neatly organized into rows in Google Sheets, making this a powerful example of what is possible with a multi-tool n8n template.

How it Works

The automation begins with the n8n trigger, 'Manual Start,' allowing immediate execution. Following the trigger, the 'Set Trustpilot company URL' n8n node defines the target webpage. This URL is fed into the specialized 'Agent : Fetch and analyze reviews' n8n node.

This AI agent acts as the conductor, orchestrating the scraping and analysis process. It uses the Bright Data MCP Scrapper tool to reliably fetch the raw content of the 5 latest reviews. The agent then instructs the internal OpenAI Chat Model (GPT-4.1-mini) to analyze the text, extract key metadata (reviewer, date, rating), and assign a precise sentiment and summary.

To guarantee data quality, the agent utilizes a Structured Output Parser. After the AI returns the analyzed data as a single JSON array, the 'Splits Reviews into separate Objects' n8n node uses custom code to separate each review into its own individual item. This data transformation is critical before the final 'Save Reviews to Google Sheets' n8n node appends the structured, analyzed feedback, one review per row.

Installation Guide

  1. Import the n8n Workflow: Copy the provided JSON and import it directly into your n8n instance.

  2. Setup Credentials: You must establish connections for three services:

OpenAI: Set up credentials for the Chat Model (used by the AI Agent).
Bright Data MCP Client: Configure credentials for the web scraping tool.
* Google Sheets: Authenticate your Google Sheets account and ensure the target spreadsheet is accessible.

  1. Configure URL: Edit the 'Set Trustpilot company URL' n8n node and update the URL assignment to point to the desired Trustpilot company profile.

  2. Execute: Click the 'Manual Start' n8n trigger to run the workflow and populate your Google Sheet.

Node Details

Manual Start (n8n trigger): Initiates the entire n8n workflow upon manual execution.
Set Trustpilot company URL (n8n node): Defines the input parameter for the AI agent, specifically the Trustpilot URL to be scraped (e.g., https://www.trustpilot.com/review/hubspot.com).
Agent : Fetch and analyze reviews (n8n node): The core intelligence module. It coordinates the use of the Bright Data tool for scraping and the OpenAI LLM for analyzing sentiment and summarizing the content into a strict JSON array format.
Bright Data MCP Scrapper (n8n node): Executes the scrapeasmarkdown tool, safely fetching the requested 5 reviews from the target website, overcoming anti-scraping measures.
Splits Reviews into separate Objects (n8n node): A custom Code n8n node that transforms the single output item (containing an array of 5 reviews) into five separate n8n items. This is necessary for sequential row creation in Google Sheets.
Save Reviews to Google Sheets (n8n node): The final step, appending the structured review data (reviewer, date, rating, sentiment, mainIssue, reviewText) as new rows to the configured spreadsheet. This completes the data output for the n8n template.
