What is Apaleo?

The Apaleo skill for OpenClaw provides a reliable, cloud-based property management system (PMS) integration. Powered by ClawLink, this capability handles complex OAuth flows out of the box so developers and hospitality managers do not have to configure API keys manually. It is designed to expose rich tools for listing hotel properties, administering unit groups, managing rooms, and tracking unit attributes directly from your AI agent interface.

By incorporating this integration into your workspace, you can effortlessly query inventory, create multiple room configurations, and monitor statuses. As one of the most powerful hospitality-focused Openclaw Skills, it reduces operational overhead and lets AI-driven agents automate room allocations and property configurations seamlessly.

Apaleo Use Cases

  • Listing and Auditing Hotel Properties: Easily query all active property locations and review details like geographical location and status (Test vs. Live).
  • Automating Room Setup and Configuration: Create individual units or generate multiple units programmatically based on naming patterns, accelerating the onboarding of new properties.
  • Inventory Verification: Monitor available spaces, query unit groups, and check for specific attributes across hotel rooms in real-time.
  • Seamless Property Onboarding: Clone properties with existing inventory structures and rate plans to quickly scale setups without manual data entry.

How Apaleo Works

  1. Discovery and Connection Validation: The AI agent queries the ClawLink backend using clawlink_list_integrations to verify that the Apaleo integration is authorized and active.
  2. Tool Catalog Loading: The agent retrieves the available tools using clawlink_list_tools --integration apaleo to load the property, unit, and attribute management capabilities.
  3. Property and Room Discovery: The user queries existing locations via apaleo_get_a_properties_list and digs into specific rooms using listing commands.
  4. Read/Write Execution: The agent safely processes operations. Read queries are completed instantly, while destructive operations (such as creating or deleting units) trigger a confirmation flow before sending requests through ClawLink's secured OAuth gateway.

Apaleo Setup

Install and initialize the Apaleo plugin in OpenClaw with three simple commands:

openclaw plugins install clawhub:clawlink-plugin
openclaw config set tools.alsoAllow '[\"clawlink-plugin\"]' --strict-json
openclaw gateway restart

After installation, pair your device and navigate to the ClawLink dashboard at https://claw-link.dev/dashboard?add=apaleo to complete the OAuth connection. No manual API key setup is required.

Apaleo Data Schema & Taxonomy

The Apaleo skill operates on several core logical models with distinct taxonomies. The primary data models are:

Core Entities

Entity Key Attributes Main Operations
Property property_id, name, status (Test/Live) apaleo_get_a_properties_list, apaleo_creates_a_property, apaleo_archive_a_property
Unit (Room) unit_id, property_id, name, unit_group_id apaleo_get_a_units_list, apaleo_create_a_unit, apaleo_delete_a_unit
Unit Group unit_group_id, name, property_id apaleo_list_unit_groups, apaleo_create_a_unit_group, apaleo_delete_a_unit_group
Unit Attribute attribute_id, name, property_id apaleo_get_unit_attribute_list, apaleo_create_a_unit_attribute

Error and Status Taxonomy

  • 403 Forbidden: Indicates a missing OAuth scope (e.g., properties.manage or units.create).
  • 404 Not Found: Triggered when a non-existent property, unit, or unit group ID is queried.
  • Test vs. Live Status: Properties in 'Test' status allow transactional data resets, whereas 'Live' properties require strict write constraints.

Apaleo Advanced Features

  • Managed OAuth Lifecycle: Completely offloads credential and token refreshes to ClawLink, bypassing manual developer configuration.
  • Bulk Unit Provisioning: Utilize apaleo_create_multiple_units to quickly generate multiple rooms following defined naming patterns and rules.
  • Property Cloning: Instantly duplicate test or template properties with complete inventories and rate plans using apaleo_clones_a_property.
  • Interactive Write Protection: Built-in verification steps protect against destructive workflows, prompting for confirmation before processing deletions or modifications.
