What is Bloomfilter?

Bloomfilter is a specialized tool designed to empower AI agents within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem with the ability to manage web infrastructure programmatically. By utilizing the x402 payment protocol, this skill allows agents to search for domain availability, register new names, and renew existing ones using USDC on the Base blockchain. It bridges the gap between decentralized finance and traditional DNS management.

Security is a core pillar of this skill. Your EVM_PRIVATE_KEY is only used locally to sign EIP-3009 authorizations and SIWE messages; it never leaves your machine. This ensures that while your agent can autonomously manage domains via Openclaw Skills, you retain full control over your private credentials and funds.

Bloomfilter Use Cases

  • Automating the discovery and purchase of brand-relevant domains across various TLDs.
  • Programmatic setup of DNS records for new web applications or services.
  • Managing domain renewals automatically using stablecoins on a Layer 2 network.
  • Integrating domain registration workflows into autonomous DevOps pipelines.

How Bloomfilter Works

  1. The agent initiates a domain search to check availability and retrieve real-time pricing.
  2. Local SIWE (Sign-In With Ethereum) authentication is performed to establish a secure session with the API.
  3. Upon choosing a domain, the agent sends a registration request which triggers a 402 Payment Required response.
  4. The local x402-compatible client signs a USDC TransferWithAuthorization message using the provided private key.
  5. The transaction is validated and the domain is provisioned, often with an asynchronous job ID for status tracking.
  6. Once registered, the agent can perform DNS mutations (A, CNAME, TXT records) sequentially to configure the domain.

Bloomfilter Setup

To utilize this skill, you must provide a valid Ethereum private key and have a balance of USDC on the Base network.

# Configure your environment variable
export EVM_PRIVATE_KEY="your_evm_private_key"

Ensure your agent environment supports the x402 protocol and has access to the Bloomfilter API endpoints as part of your Openclaw Skills configuration.

Bloomfilter Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill manages data across several entities to ensure transparent domain operations:

Entity Attributes Purpose
DNS Record Type, Host, Value, TTL, Priority Configures name resolution for domains
Auth Session AccessToken, RefreshToken Manages secure API communication
Domain Status Expiry, Nameservers, Privacy State Monitors registration health
Transaction WalletAddress, Amount, JobID Tracks payment history on Base

Bloomfilter Advanced Features

  • Native support for the x402 payment protocol for frictionless USDC transactions.
  • Automatic WHOIS privacy protection included for all registrations to safeguard identity.
  • Local-only signing of EIP-3009 messages ensuring the private key is never exposed to the network.
  • Support for complex DNS record types including SRV, CAA, and MX for professional mail and security setups.
  • Paginated account management to track large portfolios of domains and transaction histories.
