What is Crinkl Claws?

Crinkl Claws is a specialized skill designed for the Openclaw Skills ecosystem that allows users to monetize their digital billing data without compromising personal privacy. By scanning authorized email providers like Gmail or AgentMail for digital receipts, this skill leverages DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) cryptographic signatures to verify that an invoice is authentic and unmodified. Once verified, the user is rewarded with Bitcoin sats directly to their Lightning wallet.

This skill operates as an identity-free protocol, meaning it only extracts essential transaction data—such as vendor name, date, and total—while immediately discarding the raw email content. This ensures that Openclaw Skills users can participate in the digital rewards economy securely, providing proof-of-purchase without revealing their identity or account details.

Crinkl Claws Use Cases

  • Automatically earning Bitcoin rewards from daily recurring billing emails.
  • Creating identity-free spend tokens for privacy-conscious expense tracking.
  • Verifying the authenticity of digital invoices using cryptographic proofs.
  • Generating passive income through automated receipt submission workflows.

How Crinkl Claws Works

  1. The skill initiates a pairing flow where the user authorizes the agent via a 4-character code in the Crinkl app.
  2. The agent identifies billing emails from an approved list of vendors using either the Gmail API or a dedicated AgentMail inbox.
  3. The skill downloads the raw RFC 2822 email content required to validate the cryptographic DKIM signature.
  4. The raw email is submitted to the Crinkl MCP server, which extracts the invoice data, verifies the signature, and then discards the email bytes.
  5. Upon successful verification, the protocol mints a spend token and queues Bitcoin sats for the user's wallet.

Crinkl Claws Setup

To get started with this skill, install it using the following command:

clawhub install crinkl-claws

You must also configure the Crinkl MCP server in your agent configuration:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "crinkl": {
      "url": "https://mcp.crinkl.xyz/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Finally, execute the pair-agent tool to generate a pairing code. Enter this code into your Crinkl mobile app to receive your persistent API key. For Gmail access, ensure the gog skill is installed; for standalone use, install the agentmail skill.

Crinkl Claws Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill manages data through specific MCP tool responses and local memory logs. Below is the primary data structure for tracking earnings:

Attribute Description
mySubmissions The count of receipts successfully verified by this agent
myEarnedSats Total Bitcoin rewards (sats) attributed to this agent's API key
walletEarnedSats Total unclaimed sats available in the shared human/agent wallet
vendorDomain The verified sender domain used to match billing emails
spendToken An identity-free object containing store hash, date, and total

All Openclaw Skills interactions are logged to the agent's memory to provide a transparent audit trail of verified receipts and earned rewards.

Crinkl Claws Advanced Features

  • Support for multi-provider email integration including Gmail (OAuth) and AgentMail (No-OAuth).
  • Automatic vendor discovery that queues new domains for community review and retroactive rewards.
  • Real-time reward rate adjustment based on Bitcoin price and protocol reserve policies.
  • Cryptographic verification that prevents fraud and ensures only genuine receipts are rewarded.
  • Identity-free spend tokens that strip all PII (Personally Identifiable Information) from the final output.
