What is CryptoWallet?

CryptoWallet is a comprehensive toolset designed for AI agents and developers to manage blockchain identities across 12+ EVM networks and Solana. It provides a robust framework for creating, importing, and securing wallets using AES-256-GCM encryption, ensuring that private keys remain protected at rest. By integrating this into Openclaw Skills, users can automate complex on-chain operations while maintaining high security standards through password-protected transaction signing.

This skill bridges the gap between automated agents and decentralized finance (DeFi), allowing for seamless interaction with smart contracts, NFT transfers, and multi-chain portfolio tracking. Whether you are building automated trading bots or blockchain development tools, CryptoWallet offers the necessary infrastructure for secure and efficient Web3 workflows.

CryptoWallet Use Cases

  • Creating and managing multiple encrypted wallets for different blockchain networks.
  • Automating portfolio balance checks across Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and 10+ other chains.
  • Sending native tokens and ERC20/SPL tokens through secure CLI commands.
  • Interacting with DeFi protocols by calling read/write functions on smart contracts.
  • Managing NFT transfers and blockchain development testing environments.

How CryptoWallet Works

  1. Initialize a new or existing wallet by specifying the chain type (EVM or Solana) and setting a secure encryption password.
  2. The system generates a local storage file with restricted 0600 permissions, encrypting the private key using AES-256-GCM and PBKDF2.
  3. Users query network data or balances using the balance checker script which interfaces with specified RPC endpoints.
  4. To execute transactions, the user provides the wallet name and password; the script decrypts the key in memory only for the duration of the signing process.
  5. The signed transaction is broadcast to the blockchain network, and the result is returned to the user or agent.

CryptoWallet Setup

Install the necessary Python dependencies to begin using this within Openclaw Skills:

pip install web3 solana solders eth-account cryptography base58

Configure your RPC providers in references/networks.json for production use, then create your first wallet:

python3 scripts/wallet_manager.py create my-eth-wallet --chain evm --password "your-secure-password"

CryptoWallet Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill organizes data through encrypted local files and JSON configuration for network settings.

Component Description
Wallet Storage Encrypted files located in ~/.clawdbot/cryptowallet/ using AES-256.
Network Config references/networks.json contains RPC URLs, Chain IDs, and explorer links.
Security Documentation references/security.md details the encryption iterations and salt usage.
Metadata Tracks native token symbols (ETH, SOL, etc.) and contract ABIs for interactions.

CryptoWallet Advanced Features

  • Batch operation support using shell loops for high-volume transactions.
  • Custom network integration for private or emerging blockchain chains via JSON configuration.
  • Support for payable smart contract functions allowing native tokens to be sent with calls.
  • Multi-chain portfolio aggregation across all supported EVM networks in a single command.
  • High-security key derivation using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations for maximum protection in Openclaw Skills.
