What is Collateral Lookup?

Collateral Lookup is an Openclaw Skills tool for reverse-searching publicly published debt notices using clues such as a residential compound, building, land parcel, address, or asset type. It finds matching notices and extracts collateral descriptions, locations, disclosed areas, debtors, creditors or sellers, and guarantors from notice details.

It is a read-only research aid, not a title, ownership, valuation, or legal verification service. Collateral details are parsed from free-form notice text, so results should be checked against the original notice and its detail link. No registration, login, API key, or manual configuration is required when the connected MCP tools are available.

Collateral Lookup Use Cases

  • Check whether a named residential compound, building, parcel, or address appears in public debt notices.
  • Reverse-search notices for an asset category such as industrial land, shops, mining rights, machinery, or vehicles.
  • Narrow collateral matches by a user-provided area range after extracting area values from notice text.
  • Identify the notices and related debtors, creditors or sellers, original creditors, and guarantors associated with a collateral clue.
  • Cross-check a collateral keyword against both notice records and enterprise search results.
  • Use a different Debtop skill when the task is industry or amount-based debt screening, a general notice list, or a seller's disposal list.

How Collateral Lookup Works

  1. Identify the search clue: use a specific property, parcel, or address as a keyword, or search by a broader asset type. Treat an area range as a later filter, not as a search parameter.
  2. Search public debt notices by keyword, prioritizing full-text notice search. Search enterprises as a supplementary reverse-lookup dimension when useful.
  3. Preserve result IDs and detail URLs, deduplicate results, and retrieve details only for potentially relevant notices.
  4. Parse each notice's free-text collateral description into individual items, extracting the asset type, location or compound name, and any disclosed area. Keep the original wording available for comparison.
  5. Apply any area filter to parsed numeric values. Retain items whose area cannot be parsed as unconfirmed rather than guessing or silently discarding them.
  6. Verify that specific location clues actually appear in the parsed location. Flag ambiguous or same-name locations for manual review.
  7. Report matches with original detail links, related parties, disclosed-text caveats, and the source and query time. Do not present a notice match as proof of ownership, encumbrance status, value, or release of a mortgage.

Collateral Lookup Setup

No separate account, login, API key, or configuration is required. If the Debtop MCP connection is already available in the agent, use its read-only tools directly; do not create guest credentials as a fallback just because a tool returns an error. If the MCP is not connected, the skill can use its guest read-only route when the runtime supports HTTPS, bash, and Python 3. Guest credential creation writes a local cache and consumes a shared creation quota, so explain those effects and obtain user approval before running the creation command. Use the guest route only with the authorized agent.debtop.com endpoint.

The skill package includes reference documentation, report templates, and scripts. Follow the package's platform-specific installation process; the SKILL.md does not specify a universal installation command. To create guest credentials after user approval, use the bundled script from the skill directory:

bash scripts/guest_token.sh

The script stores credentials in the Debtop cache with restricted permissions and does not print the token to standard output. Reuse or refresh cached credentials rather than creating a new guest identity for each query. Set DEBTOP_CACHE_DIR to use an alternative permitted cache directory. Keep tool calls sequential and at least one second apart; never send credentials to another host.

Collateral Lookup Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill uses read-only Debtop tools and parses collateral descriptions locally. The principal fields and their roles are:

Data or field Source and use
keyword User-provided clue for search_debt_notice or supplementary search_debt_enterprise searches.
notice_id Search result identifier passed to get_debt_notice_detail; use the returned ID rather than inventing one.
detail_url Service-returned notice or enterprise link. Preserve it exactly and include it with references; verify that its host is agent.debtop.com before rendering it as clickable.
collateral Free-text field available in notice details. It may be absent and is the source text for collateral parsing.
area Notice detail field where available; area may also be extracted from collateral text. Parsed area is not a survey or valuation. Keep mu values in their original unit without conversion.
debtor, creditor, original_creditor, guarantor Notice detail parties used to describe the entities disclosed in the notice.
enterprise_id Enterprise search result identifier used with get_debt_enterprise_debt_summary when a supplementary debt summary is useful.
total, page, page_size Search pagination and count metadata. Results may be capped; report the actual retrieved count and avoid claiming exhaustive coverage.

Collateral text is split on line breaks and common separators, then parsed into asset type, location, and area where possible. Supported area spellings include ㎡, m², and 平方米; thousands separators are removed for numeric comparison. Items without parseable areas should be identified explicitly. Search results are not stored or bulk-archived by the skill.

Only the guest fallback writes local files: $HOME/.cache/debtop/guest.json for guest tokens, device.id for an anonymous device identifier, and lock or temporary files. DEBTOP_CACHE_DIR can redirect this cache. Guest creation reports an anonymous device fingerprint and client/skill identifiers to agent.debtop.com for attribution and quota controls. The package also provides references/guest-access.md, references/tools-and-fields.md, references/errors.md, references/client-source-ids.md, and templates/collateral-check-report.md.

Collateral Lookup Advanced Features

  • Dual-dimension lookup: prioritize full-text notice search and use enterprise search as a supplementary way to identify related entities.
  • Free-text collateral parsing: split compound notice descriptions into asset entries and extract locations and supported area formats for filtering.
  • Evidence-first reporting: retain verbatim collateral wording, distinguish notice matches from verified property identity, and attach original service-returned detail links.
  • Guest access fallback: short-lived, read-only credentials can be obtained without registration when MCP authentication is unavailable, subject to explicit user approval for credential creation and shared quotas.
  • Credential and endpoint safeguards: cached guest tokens are stored with restrictive permissions, scripts restrict requests to the authorized Debtop host, and returned external content is treated as data rather than instructions.
  • Controlled query execution: sequential calls, a minimum one-second interval, restrained pagination, and limited detail retrieval help respect shared rate limits.
  • Clear failure handling: refresh cached credentials before considering recreation; do not create guest access for rate limits, tool-level errors, or connection failures. Stop pagination after repeated upstream errors and report partial results.
  • Scope-aware routing: use the relevant neighboring Debtop skill for amount or industry screening, general notice searches, or a creditor's disposal list.
