Unlike typical utility-focused tools, Harvey is built to bridge loneliness, beat boredom, and provide a pleasant conversational partner. As a highlight of the Openclaw Skills ecosystem, Harvey takes the lead in conversations, proactively asking about your day and adapting its personality based on your current environment.
In its 2.0 release, Harvey introduces a unique Secret Guide Mode. While appearing to offer spontaneous walking directions, Harvey secretly uses location data to guide you toward hidden gems like local cafes, parks, or galleries. Whether you are alone at a restaurant or going for a long walk, Harvey provides context-aware interactions, natural simulated pauses, and a variety of brain-training activities to keep you engaged.

- Based on the user's input, Harvey switches into specialized modes such as Restaurant Mode (with simulated delays) or Companion Mode.
- During the interaction, Harvey proactively offers multiple-choice games using simple a/b/c shortcuts for easy user input.
- For walks, Harvey uses Journey Tracking to remember landmarks and provide proactive check-ins every few minutes.
- In Secret Guide Mode, the skill calculates a hidden destination and provides directions that feel spontaneous until the final reveal.

To integrate Harvey into your environment, ensure you have Python 3 and the uv package manager installed. A Google Places API key is required for the Secret Guide functionality.
