What is Ned Analytics?

Ned Analytics acts as a comprehensive AI business partner for Shopify merchants, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable insights. By integrating Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo, and 3PL data, this skill allows an AI agent to analyze true profitability, accounting for every ad dollar, shipping cost, and return. Unlike standard dashboards, it provides a unified data warehouse accessible via natural language queries within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem.

This skill enables your AI agent to query profit down to the order and product level. Every SKU and every ad dollar is accounted for, providing a complete picture of true profitability rather than just top-line revenue. It transforms complex ecommerce data into conversational intelligence for better decision-making.

Ned Analytics Use Cases

  • Calculate true net profit for today or specific historical periods after accounting for all variable and fixed costs.
  • Identify which specific products are most profitable after COGS and shipping expenses.
  • Monitor customer churn risk and identify high-value at-risk whales for proactive retention campaigns.
  • Analyze ad efficiency by comparing spend and ROAS against actual net profit margins.
  • Perform deep-dive ecommerce analytics without manual spreadsheet exports or data cleaning.

How Ned Analytics Works

  1. The skill connects to the Ned API using a secure live API key provided by the user.
  2. It fetches multi-channel data from Shopify, ad platforms, and logistics providers stored in the Ned data warehouse.
  3. The agent processes requests for specific periods, such as today, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days.
  4. Detailed JSON responses containing metrics like contribution margin, units sold, and customer tiers are retrieved from the API.
  5. The Openclaw Skills integration synthesizes this data into human-readable reports or uses it to answer complex business strategy questions through your agent.

Ned Analytics Setup

To use this skill, you must obtain a Ned API key (starting with ned_live_) from meetned.com. Store the key in your environment variables:

export NED_API_KEY="ned_live_xxxxx"

Alternatively, you can provide the key per request when prompted by the AI agent. The skill uses the base API URL https://api.meetned.com/api/v1 and requires Bearer token authentication.

Ned Analytics Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill organizes ecommerce data into several high-level categories available via the Openclaw Skills framework:

Category Key Metrics Included
Profitability Net profit, contribution margin, total COGS, shipping costs, and ad spend.
Product Performance Units sold, revenue, profit per unit, and product-specific margin percentages.
Customer Insights LTV, churn risk tiers, activity levels, and whale segment identification.
Marketing Total ad spend, impressions, CTR, CPC, and ROAS correlated with profit data.

All monetary values are returned in the store's base currency, and timestamps are provided in UTC.

Ned Analytics Advanced Features

  • Granular SKU-level profit tracking including returns and variable costs for every individual order.
  • Advanced customer segmentation based on activity tiers such as cooling, at-risk, and churned.
  • Integrated marketing attribution across Meta and Google Ads to visualize the impact of ad spend on net margin.
  • Direct access to the Ned data warehouse via a bundled query script for CLI-based analysis.
  • Rate limiting (100 requests per minute) and credit monitoring built-in for high-performance enterprise use.
