What is Polymarket Executor?

The Polymarket Executor is a sophisticated autonomous trading system built for the Polymarket prediction ecosystem. As part of the Openclaw Skills library, this tool enables users to scan thousands of markets simultaneously—ranging from crypto and politics to sports and economics—to identify and exploit pricing inefficiencies. It operates with a safety-first approach, defaulting to a risk-free paper trading mode to validate strategies before deploying real capital.

By leveraging adaptive learning via integration with the polymarket-optimizer, the skill continuously refines its parameters like Kelly Criterion fractions and profit thresholds. This ensures that your trading strategy evolves alongside market conditions, making it a powerful addition to the Openclaw Skills collection for algorithmic traders.

Polymarket Executor Use Cases

  • Automated parity arbitrage to capture guaranteed profits when market prices do not sum to unity.
  • Executing tail-end trades on high-certainty events like Fed rate decisions or major sports outcomes.
  • Identifying logical arbitrage opportunities where related market prices contradict each other.
  • Developing and backtesting prediction market strategies using the risk-free paper trading environment.
  • Scaling trading operations across 5000+ markets that are impossible to monitor manually.

How Polymarket Executor Works

  1. The skill initializes by loading parameters from learned_config.json, which contains optimized settings for the current market regime.
  2. It fetches thousands of active markets from the Polymarket Gamma and CLOB APIs to identify potential opportunities.
  3. A multi-threaded scanner analyzes each market for specific mathematical edges like parity imbalances or logical contradictions.
  4. Based on the active mode, the bot simulates a trade in paper_trades.json or executes a real order via the Polymarket CLOB API.
  5. Post-trade, it updates internal metrics and sends a detailed summary to the user via Telegram alerts.
  6. The bot applies strict risk management protocols, including circuit breakers and position limits, to protect the trading portfolio.

Polymarket Executor Setup

First, navigate to your workspace directory. To start in paper mode (default), which requires no credentials, run the following commands:

cd /data/.openclaw/workspace/skills/polymarket-executor
python3 polymarket_executor.py

To transition to live mode with Openclaw Skills, export your credentials and disable paper mode:

export PAPER_MODE=false
export POLYMARKET_API_KEY="your_key"
export POLYMARKET_SECRET="your_secret"
export POLYMARKET_PASSPHRASE="your_passphrase"
python3 polymarket_executor.py

Note: Live execution requires a residential proxy to avoid datacenter IP blocks during order placement.

Polymarket Executor Data Schema & Taxonomy

The skill maintains state through several JSON files to ensure transparency and optimizer compatibility:

File Name Description
paper_trades.json Records all simulated trade entries, exits, and P&L.
portfolio.json Tracks current capital, open positions, and daily performance.
performance_metrics.json Aggregated stats used by the optimizer to refine strategy weights.
live_trades.jsonl Append-only log of real blockchain executions.
learned_config.json Dynamic configuration file containing the bot's operating logic.

Polymarket Executor Advanced Features

  • Full integration with polymarket-optimizer for 6-hourly automated parameter tuning.
  • Dynamic Kelly Criterion position sizing to maximize growth while minimizing drawdown.
  • Multi-threaded scanning engine capable of processing thousands of markets in seconds.
  • Real-time Telegram notifications providing portfolio snapshots and trade alerts.
  • Automated circuit breakers that halt all trading if daily losses exceed 15%.
  • Support for residential proxy rotation to ensure high uptime for live API execution.
