What is Post Queue?

Post Queue is a developer-centric solution designed to manage the complexities of rate-limited content platforms. Instead of manually tracking wait times or facing interruptions mid-workflow, this tool allows you to queue multiple posts and dispatch them automatically as cooldowns expire.

As a featured part of the Openclaw Skills ecosystem, it provides a bridge between high-velocity content creation and restricted platform APIs. It ensures your creative flow remains uninterrupted by technical bottlenecks, handling the timing and execution of posts in the background.

Post Queue Use Cases

  • Queuing multiple updates to Moltbook to avoid 30-minute rate limit interruptions.
  • Batching content creation for various platforms in a single session without manual waiting.
  • Automating post distribution through shell-based workflows and CLI triggers.
  • Maintaining a local, searchable record of pending and sent content metadata.

How Post Queue Works

  1. Add post content, titles, and target platforms into a local JSON database using the add command.
  2. The system references the platforms configuration to determine specific cooldown requirements for the target destination.
  3. Users can monitor the queue status to track pending items and check when the next cooldown period ends.
  4. Run the process command to evaluate cooldown timestamps and automatically dispatch the next eligible post from the queue.

Post Queue Setup

To get started with this skill, navigate to the directory and ensure the scripts are executable:

chmod +x queue.sh

You can immediately begin queuing content using the CLI:

./queue.sh add moltbook "My Post Title" "Full post content here" "submolt_name"

Post Queue Data Schema & Taxonomy

Data is persisted locally in ~/.local/share/post-queue/queue.json. The schema organizes information as follows:

Key Type Description
posts Array Contains post objects with unique IDs, platform targets, and content strings.
cooldowns Object Maps platform names to ISO8601 timestamps indicating when the next post is allowed.
status String Indicates the current state of a post, such as pending or completed.

Post Queue Advanced Features

  • Extensible platform architecture allows users to add new services by modifying the platforms.sh file.
  • Persistent state management ensures your posting queue remains intact across system reboots.
  • Lightweight CLI design makes it easy to integrate with other Openclaw Skills for automated agent-led posting.
  • Precise cooldown tracking prevents account flags by strictly adhering to platform-specific timing constraints.
